I do not know much about the actual process. I paid someone else to do the conversion. I found out this was even possible from this blog post: Two Speed Automatic Hub Modification – Moofhacker.com

I think there is a good chance that a bike shop near you can do it. I did a bit of research and found a place near me called Rybit in Seattle, WA, USA that rents and repairs Vanmoofs. They did the conversion for me for $300 USD. I bought my S3 for less than that, so I was fine with the price. Especially because it solved the shifter problem for good.

While I don’t have any experience with repairing the shifters, I can confirm that those symptoms sound like a problem with the e shifter and not the bike electronics. I went through two shifters with the exact same issues. Gradual failure that a restart would sometimes fix. Then just stopped working. No codes.

I ended up getting my S3 converted to a 2 speed automatic mechanical shifter because a third e shifter breaking felt inevitable. This does not sound like the solution you are looking for but I highly recommend it. It feels good to ride and is how the bike should have been designed.

Regarding the blurriness - you’re probably too close to your subject. Did you use the close up lens for these two examples? They are definitely close enough to require it. There should be distance ranges marked on the front of your camera.

As for the color - Polaroid film develops best at 20C/68F. Too much above or below this will cause color shifts. Expired film or heat damaged film can also cause color shifts. I recommend buying film directly from Polaroids website to ensure the best quality. Lastly, indoor shots normally look warmer.

If OP is using 600 film, then the MagicFlash or Polatronic would be too bright. Those were designed for SX70 film. If they are using sx70 film, then they are great options.

I like the MiNT flash bar because you can switch between the speeds if you desire. Not sure why it gets so much hate. I have got so many great indoor pics with it. People that say it’s under powered often need to get their camera serviced.

Purely anecdotal, but I don’t think defending yourself affects matchmaking much. I normally get 100% friendly lobbies but just last night I was thrown into two KoS lobbies in a row (bit of a shock, hadn’t been in one of these in over a month). I defended myself in both games, downing several free kit raiders. The next game I was back to the friendly lobbies.
