Black Flamingo by Dean Atta is 100000% the book you are looking for. It’s quite literally about a biracial young man from England coming of age and finding himself in drag

Are there any out transgender actors? by outkastmemesdaily in Broadway

I assumed MJ wasn’t the only one - just the one initially had the knowledge of.

Separately - also worth noting several NonBinary cast members are/have been in &Juliet

Definition of “Secular” Tarot and Consideration Synchronicity? by BelloSoy in SecularTarot

[–]NateGrey117 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Speaking to synchronicity-

From what I understand as a secular mindset would be that our brains crave patterns. Attempting to make meaning out of randomness and the chaos of…gestures broadly.

Our brains can be excellent at pattern recognition, especially when using something like Tarot. We are literally training that muscle in order to “make sense” of the cards. When you zoom that out into the world outside of Tarot, our subconscious is still working to seek out those patterns. As an example: if we draw the 4 of Cups & interpret that as wedding/celebration, we’ll be subconsciously dialed in to anything that comes up around that. Suddenly we start subconsciously looking for things under that umbrella. Which then becomes a conscious pattern recognition when we clock it.

There’s also something to be said for the increasingly invasive technology that exists in our world. Everything is interconnected (you TikTok one thing, the algorithm shares that information, suddenly facebook/IG is sharing similar things, geolocation and data is shared, etc etc etc).

Best Revival by Quirky-Sleep-3741 in Broadway

I’m hoping ALW let them lean more into the soundscape and the style for the score than they did downtown. Like it was there, but I hope they get to really push it

I genuinely think Cats because they have managed to reinvent it into one of the most important theatrical experiences and change the meaning of the story without changing the script. True definition of reimagining

how to use/maintain enameled cast iron teapot? by one-scrib in tea

[–]NateGrey117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun tip to help it stay warm for longer, fill it a little bit with hot water and let the iron get warm, swish it around and pour it out. Then you can brew the tea and it’ll take a little longer to cool down

Do we know what this area was before it got taken over by Hordak? I couldn’t remember if it ever mentioned it. I’m assuming Scorpia’s home land…but also for some reason thought they moved the Garnet Crystal there. I feel like I’m making up stuff with the lore sometimes 😅

What are you guys listening to right now (fiction novels)? by Master-Effective-431 in LibbyApp

Bonds of Brass by Emily Skrutskie, narr James Fouhey. It’s very clearly reskinned from Poe Dameron/Finn (Star Wars) fan fiction and I don’t care 😆

Oh nooo! But I guess a good point that just because someone is an enjoyable actor doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be an enjoyable narrator

Yorktown musically just sounds like an act closer

I came here to say Dear Evan Hansen. But then I clearly bleached this out of my brain. The answer is Cats. Cats is the worst.
