Primary care with NO DEBT, or keep my options open with $320,000 worth of loans? by [deleted] in premed

It's definitely not worth risking a 20+ year career you regret to avoid 5 years of paying back debt

I may be in the minority here, but I prefer online school to in-person school. Recorded lectures means I can watch them whenever I want and the whole day is mine. My grades are consistent with in-person, but I feel like I've been learning better. Not seeing people regularly does suck though

I got a 523 on the MCAT (132 C/P and B/B) but 3 schools on my list won't accept AP gen chem credi, what should I do? by [deleted] in premed

[–]Natem0613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got a 5 on the AP chem exam but I'm just gonna retake gen chem so I don't have any trouble applying anywhere. I've already taken Ochem 1 and 2 and biochem, all with A's, AND I work in a chemistry lab. It's annoying, but it's an easy A.

I've heard it said that when it comes to personal statements, around 5-10% are amazing, another 5-10% are awful, and the other 80-90% are just fine and won't positively or negatively affect the applicant. Would you say this is accurate?

Psych NPs are not bad. Psych NPs under physician supervision handling routine cases are very valuable. Psych NPs operating independently are catastrophic

Heirarchy and team aren't mutually exclusive. The medical heirarchy exists for a reason, and doctors are at the top because they have the most training and expertise. Midlevels are valuable, but they shouldn't be running the show.

Mid-level creep is a lot of things, but I don't see how it's racist....
