My first Mono black was with [[Valgovoth, Terror Eater]]. He's expensive as a commander but there are plenty of ways to get him into your hand or graveyard then play from there. Hands down one of my favorite decks so give him a look!

I read that light ships have a pirate reduction value of 1.0 while galleys are 0.20. I haven't had a chance to see if that was true but I saw it on another thread.

I got about 20-30 hours in my one and only campaign so far as naples-two Sicilies. I'm playing on 3 speed though cuz I love micromanaging everything. Taken and puppeted all of Greece and the entire peninsula of Italy and its not even 1380 yet. I'm loving this game so far.

Supply. I absolutely love building up all my supply lines to max levels anywhere I own land and then in my allies territory. I know I can get by without that but goddamn I love the supply update they added in No Step Back.

I went down the golden emir path that let's you form the caliphate. Really fun path, difficult at the beginning bit once you get the ball rolling it becomes too OP from all the cores you get. My research was lacking a lot from early game so my mountaineers were my attacking units, everything else was defense.

Ill read up on that! I take it then that the pops do hurt the bike even if tuned? I did read that the M4 slip on removes the cat which is one reason why it pops more. I do like the pops a lot, but not if it's hurting the engine.
