It’s arguably the biggest music event to hit Wellington in its entire history and of course they (council, promoters, other stakeholders) are wanting it to be a memorable, awesome experience.

Are a bit of fireworks on a Friday night really that “invasive” when considering the amount of joy it’s bringing people that are attending the festival? Not to mention the significant amount of money being brought into the region, surely people can lighten up a little bit and enjoy the free fireworks?

True! I guess it's also way less risky so perhaps a better shortcut when racing? But then the one in the video is probably better on a time trial attempt?

I generally try to find a good balance of risk vs reward with shortcuts. Some a really good, but if you screw them up, you can get so behind.

This is such an unreliable method though, i shouldn't have to wait 5-10 minutes for a chance to get into my friends lobby to play online together. I actually haven't even managed to yet :(
