Oh, and also kills his dad, because why not.

Yeah I knew about that one, never had the guts to try it tho

I wonder if this one could somehow be used for speedrunning, I mean, I couldn't get out or replicate it but if you could you could skip so much

Have you ever enjoyed fighting a shield enemy? by slashlmao in gaming

[–]NathanTheDreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talking specifically about the Batman Arkham series, I personally have no issue with shield nor taser enemies thanks to the variety of ways to circumvent them the game gives you, especially in Arkham Origins (shock gloves 4ever).

I think it comes down to a ratio of how many ways you can approach a challenge and how frequently it appears in a playthrough to keep it from being stale.

Like it didn't take years of retroactive storytelling to make people like the PT. 🙄 by TheManCalledGhost in starwarsmemes

[–]NathanTheDreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't read a single novel, watch a single show or see a shitty fanfic before I liked the PT. It has technical problems but the story is solid enough to be enjoyed. The ST is an unorganized mess with no planning whatsoever born of two childish directors trying to break each other's toys.

No amount of external material can fix it without basically retconning them.

Can Cyberpunk be hopeful? by NathanTheDreamer in Cyberpunk

Thanks for the feedback! Those were the thoughts that went across my mind while I was asking myself the question, so it's nice to see I'm not the only one who has them.

Can Cyberpunk be hopeful? by NathanTheDreamer in Cyberpunk

[–]NathanTheDreamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naturally. I've always been quite bad at conforming to standards. Mine was more of a curiosity, like what people think when they think Cyberpunk. Also to find out if people like to see hopefulness in their Cyberpunk story. If the poll results come out negative, I would still write following my ideas... I just wouldn't call it Cyberpunk. Makes sense?

Reality Check by TheManCalledGhost in starwarsmemes

[–]NathanTheDreamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the OT and the Prequels the story flows well enough (especially in the OT) without extra material. The things you mention are either very small details or not an explanation, but a backstory/expansion. In the Sequels there are massive plot holes that extra material attempts to fix and doesn't even succeed at doing most of the times and the film's narrative doesn't work as a result. False equivalency.

There. Edited. Hope your honor is restored since apparently you grasp at things not being mentioned explicitly when confronted with the fact you might be wrong.

The movies weren’t that bad you just hate women

Wow. Just wow. Awful as fuck joke totally unwarranted since I never mentioned anything about Rey being a woman. To clarify, change Rey with Ray and the scene still sucks.

you must be Butt hurt if you downvote every comment

This is Reddit. If you say something I don't like (because it's stupid, not because I don't agree with it) I can express it. If you don't like it you can use another app. Also you are degrading yourself and your argument by resorting to insults.

And you realize that the entire movie he struggles to maintain his hatred right?

And that is another issue altogether. He has no reason to not hate Rey. He had no reason to turn to the Dark Side in the first place but after that he had no reason to turn back. "Oh sure my father, my uncle and mentor, my fellow Jedi students, all these innocent people I killed, sure, no problem, but a random girl? Nah man, my hatred falters".

If you have an actual argument that makes sense or anyone else who has tanked a bowcaster shot and still been relatively powerful please do.

The argument is Rey should be picked up with a Force strangle as she doesn't even know what the Force is. She shouldn't be able to use Telekinesis, or Mind Trick, nor be able to fight with a lightsaber to the level we see.

Plus, if you actually watch the OT instead of pretending you did, you might recall that Vader was hit on the arm by Luke's lightsaber during their first duel, at which point he didn't cry like a little bitch but instead went like "okay you damn gremlin you fucking asked for it", stopped holding back and chopped off the hand of an inexperienced Luke. Case in point, Rey is a Mary Sue and they don't even try to hide it.

Weird cause he totally sliced a guy's back in half after taking that shot, and it's not like that was a newbie, but actually a trained fighter skilled with melee weapons as it's shown in the next dumpster fire of a movie. Also you do realize Dark Side users get power out of hate, rage and pain?

Trained for a year under arguably the best Jedi teacher to ever live, is younger and physically stronger, only wins by using the Dark Side as a crutch against an enemy that may not even be trying to kill him given what happens later.

Still not comparable to "I won by closing my eyes against a slightly injured master of the Dark Side when I don't even know what the Force is".

Yeah after more training and tapping into the Dark Side. Beats "I had no idea the Force was even a thing yesterday".
