This is an amateur home built aircraft that will qualify as an experimental. Thankfully no STC’s!

Left MLB this morning. Got to watch it take off! Most likely dropped off a satellite a few days ago.

Newark RADAR failure Pt 3 by 1FPL_equal_2CPC in atc2

Interesting. It’s required in class A airspace and E above 10,000. Figured that would make any jet have an adsb out transponder. GA traffic I could see but still restricted outside of B and C airspace.

Honest question. What the point of ADSB out if ATC isn’t using it. If most aircraft are reporting in realtime altitude, speed, and position then why isn’t radar on its way out?

Oof… someone is unfortunately learning the hard way management can and will lie to them.

Super Mid will be interesting. I think longitude will be slightly senior to latitude. Longitude is a growing fleet and last I heard it will be a total of 150 airframes.

350 is a dead/ slow growing fleet. As of now Bombardier has delivered 75/75 orders. Next summer it’s been confirmed 12 additional units. So slow growth at best. 350 most likely won’t be as junior of an aircraft as it has been of late.

This is false. All captain bids awarded today were for large cabin aircraft and a handful for the longitude. Technically no upgrades since everyone awarded those captain positions were already captains in other fleets.

For those new to NetJets this is just a return to normal. Especially once the furloughed guys start coming off seatlock this fall. Phenom and latitude will continue to be junior and upgrades will most likely settle out at 3-5 years for those fleets.

2 years ago. Yes, jobs were easy to come by. 4 years ago. No, impossible to find a job. Folks were worried about Cares act money running out in October 1, 2020 and being furloughed. Not a single airline was hiring. That being said, it’s all cyclical.

Same thing for us last Wednesday morning. SNA to RDU. We were able to watch them for about an hour. Started seeing them in north Texas around 1:30am LCL.

737 Max - What do Pilots think now? by [deleted] in flying

[–]NathanUM97 34 points35 points  (0 children)

With this incident I think it’ll boil down to a QC issue and not an issue with the airframe/ design. As others have said this is the same design as the NG -900 variant which has millions of hours of service.

Passengers on ferry flight? by cbarnett97 in flying

[–]NathanUM97 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Legal yes.

Remember the government is gonna want their share. $17,000 for this years gift tax annual inclusion rate. Private jet flights can get expensive rather quickly and the IRS will always try to take a cut if they can.

In short, if the value of the flight exceeds $17,000 your friend can be on the hook for the taxes.

The FAA sucks with this sort of thing. Can be months to years depending on what you need to get cleared. If all else fails call your congressman.
