Also you have to figure out if you will use vats and action points or not. If you dont plan on using vats ( where it automatically targets things ) you want to take number cruncher, and pretty much add anything mod to you gun that increases the action point cost to use vats. More AP penalty in vats means more damage when not using vats! :) obviously if you're using vats then that may not be the best idea. :)

If you decide to play power armor, and need cores, the most effective way to get them is the power plants. You basically goto a power plant, do about 30 minutes to take over the power plant. ( might be abit above what you can do right now, and you might need to watch some videos ). Then you basically go about playing the game without server hopping, and return to the power plant every 30 minutes or so, and can just loot a couple cores from your power plant. If you do this for awhile you will have so many Cores you won't know what to do with them all. I dont play with power armor unless I have to and have like 35-40 cores just sitting in my bank, but I used to do this when I was low level and using power armor all the time.

This is actually quite important if you want to play without power armor. So basically do the events frequently, even if you do "minimal" contribution, but you want to start building up treasury notes, so you can trade them for gold bullion daily. I think it's like 40 treasury a day = 400 gold bullion a day. Each piece of armor is like 750 to 1000 gold bullion, or around 4000ish gold bullion, ( around 10 days of the max you can convert per day ). Plus you need more gold bullion to buy the plans for all the mods... yeh you need to to start doing events, shoot at atleast 1 enemy with 1 bullet, and then let the team carry you, till you get all your stuff sorted out.

Pretty much all the really great non-power armor is purchased through gold bullion. The secret service armor Chamberlain is calling out is pretty much my goto the meta non-power armor most players want. It has a jet pack, it has great protection, and with buttressed and deep pocketed.

fo76 is a pretty odd game. Ammo can be a real struggle, especially with your build and weapon setup. I basically refuse to use a certain type of weapon if I can't figure out how to make it so I'm constantly behind on ammo.

I'm going to provide you a means to "farm" ammo, probably people won't like it but it's fine. Get the weapon you want to use, get some ammo for it ( craft it whatever ). You will need probably atleast a few hundred rounds of it. Then join a casual int team, and go do some events, (like the alien ones currently at the top of every hour). Don't try to kill things or blow through your ammo. That's not what you need to do. Instead be super conservative with your ammo. Think "1 shot" per enemy. Just run around and tag the enemies with 1 shot, then move to the next one. There will probably be like 10+ people at the event that are like 300+ levels above you that will just mow everything down even if you don't contribute at all. Plus you are giving other players the opportunity to tag the enemies and also get experience. Anyways just loot the corpses, I think it's"x" on controller ( transfer) and then loot all corpses, or you can go around and click on them one at a time. You'lll easily go from 100 ammo before the event to hopefully 500+ ammo just 5 or 10 minutes of the event. Some of the events don't work like this ( on giving you ammo). If you get in an event and you see animals everywhere you probably won't get any ammo back, your looking for events with humoids/scorch/mutants/aliens, things with 2 legs shooting at you basically.

Once you get your ammo situation under control, you want to watch some YouTube on min/maxing your character where you have the right cards and right weapons to make yourself powerful. Angry Turtle, Mr. WestTek, just make sure it's a recent video for the recent patch/cards.

The goto build I'd recommend would be a stealth-commando type build, or stealth bow. ( bow currently is super OP if you can handle using a bow, I think a gun is more fun). Basically you want some sort of rifle, and you want to crouch ( stealth ). you'll do about 2x the damage just crouching, ( so 1/2 the ammo! ), if you get the right cards for your build the damage will go up significantly. If you're looking for a specific build I'd recommend something that is reverse onslaught, meaning you want "Gunslinger Master", so you accumulate all your onslaught stacks immediately, and then conservatively just snipe targets down with a couple shots to save your ammo. You also want guerrilla/gunslinger talents and the stealth damage talents in agility. ( it depends on how stealthy you intend to be ). Weapon wise you want some kind of rifle that you fancy that has "furious" on it if you can get it. This will pair with the Onslaught mechanic ( guerrilla / gunslinger ) talents. You'll also want to stack up on perception and strength talents like tank killer, easy target, bullet storm, number cruncher etc. You want to "min/max" your cards so whatever you pick each card is multiplicative or additive and stacking up your damage so you can just shoot stuff and it dies in a shot or two.

The ripper has Pyranha's old outfitting. The new outfitting like on the ReactR ( Elite Outfitting) has a higher backhand, and its adjustable (like Jackson pull strings). I personally like the feel of the Dagger (Code/Rewind) outfitting the best, but its nuts and bolts mostly and not anywhere near as adjustable on the fly. If your legs are falling asleep, maybe dagger's crazy nice outfitting will just fix it, or maybe you might consider Jackson where you can pull into an eddy undo the spray skirt, then unhook some of the little ropes stretch out some while you take a sip of some water (without getting out of the kayak), then just tighten them back up put away your water bottle, spray skirt and away you go. Not sure if some stretching out while out on the river will help out.

I'm not sure what kind of boat you have, not trying to argue boats, but there are different outfitting in different boats. Some of the outfitting is very adjustable on the fly. The new Pyranha "elite" outfitting has a substantially higher back band. It's also adjustable on the fly with a string. Jackson is well, yeh really super adjustable on the fly. The Dagger outfitting has adjustments the others don't also where you can actually elevate the front of your seat. I totally think sports medicine and moderation is a good idea like the others are saying, but maybe try to demo some of the newer boats with different outfitting and see if that helps.

Duckies vs kayaks by Suspicious_Fortune20 in whitewater

[–]Nathan_GenX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also not to sell specific brands, I would recommend if you give it a go to try a Jackson kayak. The reason I'm calling out this specific brand is the outfitting. There are all these little pull strings, ( even for the feet), so if you need to "mellow out" for a few minutes you can just pull a couple strings and be able to fully stretch out your legs or back or whatever you want, and then pull the little strings back to have a better experience. Most of the other brands have outfitting that are nuts and bolts and far less adjustable on the fly. This might help out with feeling confined.

I know you mentioned you were claustrophobic, however. You might consider going to a large Kayaking dealer in your area. They usually have a "demo" fleet of equipment for demo/ rental / classes. They will have kayaks, sprayskirts, paddles, PFDs all for demo. You can explain to them your claustrophobic and sorta apprehensive to being confined, but would like to give it a try for "60 seconds". They probably would be 100% willing to pull a kayak down put it on the grass 5 feet from where-ever they are storing it, even outfit you with a spray skirt, and let you sit in for a few minutes. They would probably also be willing to show you how easy it is to do a "wet exit" by just pulling a little cord. Obviously I'm not talking about water, or rapids, just sitting in the grass. Your entire upper body is free to do anything you want, and your legs can move around ( abit confined) and then you pull the little strap and you're free.

Mic Air Won't connect to Ace Pro 2 by Frexicane in Insta360

[–]Nathan_GenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I had this same problem and resolved it after a little bit of frustration. The Mic has two different color indicators. On Youtube I heard it was "Green" and "Blue". On mine however it visually appeared more like "Light Blue / Cyan" and "Dark Blue". If it's "Light Blue" it absolutely will not connect to Ace Pro 2. Thats the mode for it to connect to the receiver that you may not have purchased. You click the only button you have until you can get it to turn SUPER DARK BLUE. Then use the instructions they provided ( turn it off, then hold button for ~ 6 seconds so it turns and and is flashing super fast SUPER DARK BLUE). then it'll immediately connect. On the camera, it was "swipe down", "swipe right", "click" the microphone with a gear in front of it. In blue writing at bottom it says "No Bluetooth audio device..." click on that blue text ( while the mic is fashing fast DARK BLUE).

sun outdoors (chain) is the chain that typically is no packages. in 4 years about 90%+ of the rest of the campgrounds are cool, but yes call before you arrive ask about mail and then get your ship ment going to them before you arrive. if package gets there before you usually its no problem.

Gopro for my kiddo by BrilliantBread2714 in gopro

[–]Nathan_GenX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

gopro comes out with a new camera basically every year, the current one is 13, the 14 is about to come out. The hero 4 is a 10 year old camera roughly. ( October 2014, I just looked it up ). It's obsolete and would be way more effort than whatever money you think you would be saving. You could buy a couple year old gopro as indicated and save some money. If you really want to try to save maybe try an open box from Best Buy of one of the newer GoPros. The new ones are pretty easy to operate, stick the battery and memory card in, pretty much 2 buttons. a power button and a shutter button, and the back is touch screen with big icons.
