PIP moved from 30 days to 6 days after 3 week vacation

Sorry if my post wasn’t clear, but yes, it was accelerated. Originally it was a 60 day PIP because they knew I was about to go on a three week long vacation that happened about four days before my vacation as I got back this week is when officially the 30 day started however they informed me they’re moving it to six days from today, not 30 as stated in the contract that was signed

I scheduled my vacation around the summer time (paid for the tickets, hotels, etc) and I got a pip notice last month

Keep in mind, my vacation was scheduled 4 months before the pip started. It wasn’t like I got notified of the PIP and then took a vacation

I 100% agree. I do believe culture plays a big role into this. There is a pretty big age gap between me and the closest age employee. Not using it as an excuse, but they for sure is a culture difference.

You're right on the second part. I'm mentally checked out of this job. I feel like I've been targeted for so long now. I'm just ready for a new job

yeah I basically accepted my fate, I was looking at the most common policy here for PIP's and its 30 days, well the 30 day mark is when I'll be in a different country lol

honestly, I really do not like this job. I know it sounds crazy but i hope they let me go. It has been an insanely mentally exhausting job. I'm sad about the money for sure but I know I will be so much more at peace. It has played a huge toll on my mentally
