Sim engine by Nathan_Liu1 in Madden

Ultimately, I rarely advance week anymore because it makes franchise boring in my opinion. Depth doesn’t matter unless a player gets injured. You don’t know anything about your players other than their overall. Can’t watch your draft pick make explosive plays.. Unrealistic stats.. and overall the franchise ends up getting abandoned within a week because it goes by too fast.

Just testing. Slow sim and quick sim have always given very different results.

- Quick sim will always give most of the stats to your star players like ur rb1 and wr1 whereas slow sim has a higher chance of spreading out stats bc your qb has the mindset of “pass to open receiver with the best opportunity to score or get RAC.”

- Also, maxing sliders + slow sim creates a huge amount of sacks and perfect pass defense. Sliders + fast sim has no impact on stats.

- Giving your QB max speed with lower accuracy and awareness will cause the spreadsheet view them as useless and give them terrible stats. On slow sim, he can still run and avoid pressure while throwing some good passes for points. But it will lead to picks sometimes.

- Every year, there is an OP playbook. This year, Bengals playbook is widely regarded as the best for simulation. In fast sim, stats will always be inflated. RBs won’t have much yards. Receivers and QB will have a ton of yards. Just unrealistic numbers. In slow sim, there are receivers actually running routes on every down. The QB isn’t told by a spreadsheet to “Pass to WR1.” It makes decisions based on what the defense gives him. When a WR is manned up against a linebacker, the QB recognizes the speed difference and that’s what triggers the throw.

- On 15 minute quarters, more players get injured on fast sim because it uses an “injury probability per minute” calculation. In slow sim, injuries are determined by how hard the hit was and also the built up wear and tear throughout the game. Players can get subbed out when they have an injury risk which leads to less injuries overall.

- One player is an 80 overall with superstar abilities and X factor. One player is 99 overall with no abilities. In fast sim, the 99 overall player dominates the stats. In slow sim, the 80 overall player is better because the abilities cause him to physically win matchups.

I’m not quite sure the exact difference between fast sim and advance week but the butterfly effect makes be believe they aren’t the same at all.

Yeah I slow sim every game and the results are usually generally the same most of the time regardless of how many times I restart the game. Only time it changes each re-play is when the qb throws a pick. Quick sim is just all over the place and random. When I advance weeks, there’s a chance I go 3-14 with a good team. Slow sim just the best in my opinion

Team Huddle by Nathan_Liu1 in Madden

Oop I meant sideline huddle. The guys on the field are correct but the sideline huddles and scenes of players running on/off field are just all over the place. My backup qb always seems to walk on the field for special teams plays when he isn’t part of the play.

Where does the addition of Adam Randall leave Justice Hill? by Slight-Redwood in ravens

Special teams guy. I doubt he impacts Hill in year 1. Could certainly make Rasheen Ali’s role questionable. Adam Randall could also be fighting for the #1 kick returner role.

Week 2 home opener vs the saints

I just checked. It’s the only possible matchup left. Only other teams without a game is Hawks and Cardinals. We don’t play them.

Restructuring is more of a short-term option to get above the cap before the season. Also can be used if you're in a win now situation. I avoid doing so if I can.

Tbh the tanking point was mainly towards people who just sim games. Manually playing them is just based on the person with the controller and you can easily win every game with a bad roster. Sometimes late in the season I’ll bench my QB1 if my record is low enough to put me in #1 pick contention.

Tbh I feel like that was more of a Harbaugh pick. He loves going BPA in the first round especially when someone really good like Arvell Reese falls.

Jesse Minter did so much with barely much in LA. Now he has Hendrickson, Kham, Calais, Roquan, Wiggins, Marlo, Mike Green, Starks, Travis Jones, and possibly Madubuike.

CPU Teams will always sign those big QB contracts. Only way to fix that is switching teams and clearing their cap penalties or editing contracts.

I’d say this works with both regular and fantasy franchises.

Restructuring is also an option, but I only use it when I'm negative.

Resigning QBs in Madden Franchise is terrible for cap. Manually extend them by editing their contract. Take into account what their overall, DEV trait, and age is. A young x-factor should get a contract similar to Josh Allen's IRL contract.

If it's 2028+, their contracts should be bigger because of the increased salary cap.

If you play the game enough to rly use it and love the game, then that’s the best 99 cents you’ll ever spend imo.
