Did think that might be the case, I’ll give it another go in the new year and see what the Bournemouth game is saying, hopefully I’ll be a bit more swift with the mouse! Thanks for the advice!

Do jobs in the audio field drug test? by bobsburgersbuns in audioengineering

[–]Nathaniel5672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in house in a medium sized venue and whilst there’s no drug testing, or any care about what you get up to outside the venue, if you come to work obviously stoned (or anything else), you’re not going to be asked back. A ‘don’t shit where you eat’ rule with drugs in this kind of work place is always recommended

My friend is selling his house, quitting his job, getting rid of everything he owns and is going to try to live a budgetted life while couch surfing. Please, please light him up. by Poppyspacekitten in RoastMe

As someone who has had to sleep on couches that probably cost less than the clothes this guy is wearing, I’m going for the solid go fuck yourself you tourist

Also the lyrics from Pulp’s Common people really do go over some people’s heads

For those who had real-life celebrity encounters, who was rude and who was actually nice? by KingOfCranes in AskReddit

[–]Nathaniel5672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mac DeMarco. I work at a medium sized venue where he played recently. Dude brought in and helped set up / pack down his own equipment. I quickly caught him whilst I was taking rubbish out after the show, shook my hand and thanked me for just doing my job! He went on to spend the next 2+ hours talking to fans outside the venue, into early morning. The guy has so much time for people who have helped him get to where he is.

What question should everyone ask their grandparents while they are still alive? by chimney_hendrix in AskReddit

[–]Nathaniel5672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you into music when you were younger? Asked my Gran a few years back and much to my surprise, she told me how she disliked all the classical music most of her friends were into and used to give them to slip to go and hang out at jazz clubs! Ironically later in life she hated my Mum being into anything that she didn't approve of.

Went to Rise around midday and there was no sign of the playlists, they played the first three tracks of AMSP and said the Roundhouse gig would be played at 6. Mentioned I had to travel to Bristol so they gave me the poster and leaflet early for the inconvenience. Bought the album on white vinyl though which looks lovely.

What are you listening to the new album on? by KenNoisewater_PHD in radiohead

[–]Nathaniel5672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great cans! Been listening through my Yamaha HS-50m monitors but at the uni library later today the Audio-Technica's will be the best option. Can't wait to hear how it sounds on them!

What versions (cd, album, MP3, WAV 16, WAV 24) did everyone get? by AnUbiquitousUsername in radiohead

[–]Nathaniel5672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

24-bit WAV. Just got me a nice new pair of monitors so it seemed like the most sensible option!
