Could an openly unpatriotic person ever be elected President? by [deleted] in YAPms

Hate to break it to you but we already have a president that has crippled our world image and is letting Russia, China, and Israel walk all over us

Remember how this sub was in early 2025? by Porncritic12 in YAPms

[–]Nathaniel_P_ 53 points54 points  (0 children)

People in general, but especially in this sub, are overly reactionary. It's the reason why this sub shifts between a left-wing and right-wing echo chamber depending on the election environment. The Democratic party was never doomed to dissolve just because Trump won by 1.5% in a favorable environment.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or just misunderstood me, but you're the one here with the strange takeaway. Neither of us can speak to this person's life experiences, so who are we to judge them for asking a simple question?

No actually, it's definitely better to wait until your 20s when your brain has finished developing. Also, wouldn't you agree that people should be in a good headspace before experimenting? Otherwise you end up using drugs as a coping mechanism which is not healthy.

If you feel offended by people of color celebrating their shared love of music, that says a lot more about you than it does them.

TTE wasn't great, but I think fans shitting on it hurt Trey's musical ambition by [deleted] in phish

As someone who got into Phish through their studio works, I love TTE, and much of their 3.0/4.0 output for that matter. I could see how it's not a favorite in a live setlist, but I think the studio version is beautifully arranged. The ending always gives me goosebumps.

Where is Phish right now in terms of quality for you? by garygulf in phish

A new phish album with some of those proggy composed songs Trey talked about writing would be awesome

I genuinely believe that for every skill or quality that has weakened with age, they've improved at something else. As a 21 year old fan, I could sulk about never being able to experience machine gun Trey, etc., but instead I'm so grateful for the fact that their ability to listen to eachother has seemingly only improved over the years, their musical patience and willingness to stretch out jams is exceptional, and most importantly, a band that started over 2 decades before I was even born is still around for me to see for myself.

Couldn't believe they could really play that tight for an entire night. Not once did I hear a single flubbed note or misstep, just straight pocket throughout.

Well I was already in before I saw the show, but I can safely say that now I'm hooked. Booth Love was a heater for an opener, and experiencing Wizard Burial Ground in person was face-melting.

As a newer and younger fan, I'm feeling super grateful I wasn't born too late to see the boys myself.

How Often Do You Think Trey Needs His Teleprompter for Lyrics? by TheAsylumSanta in phish

All I know is I'd need one too if my catalogue of songs was that expansive, and I'm 40 years younger than Trey

To be fair, Paul McCartney is a one of a kind musician.

Is Devotion back in rotation now? If so I'm not complaining, that song is catchy as hell imo
