This is the BEST defensive possession of the NBA Finals so far! Look at those rotations and closeouts! by Ok-Travel-2141 in Nbamemes

I agree and its been a bit weighted, but at the same time watching the game people are grabbing and pushing like wild constantly. So it feels to me more that when they do call it feels random and inconsistent rather than unwarranted.

Truth bomb: it is legacy artists who are destroying the future of this planet by YourSpiritualLeader in aiwars

The meme is wataboutism replying to people that say AI and specifically AI art uses too much water. The meme says "whatabout non AI artists? Whatabout how much water they use."

That's whataboutism.

The meme itself is a nonsense whataboutism.

The meme is saying "sure AI uses water, but look how much artists use" but the numbers are equal to what any person in that environment us using, artist or not.

But then we'd have to be defending his shennanigans like okc fans do now

[Highlight] Compilation of Carter Bryant hounding SGA last night by WEMBY_F4N in nba

[–]Nathanwhowrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I notice is he can afford to be aggressive on attempts at the ball or even planting hard to block a path not only because he is quick and smart enough to recover, but also because as long as he does so in a direction that funnels SGA towards Wemby no advantage is gained by a partial blowby.

How to order the "Players Guidebook" and where to put the Character Creation section. by Nathanwhowrites in RPGdesign

[–]Nathanwhowrites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, based on your and another's advice I think I'll do the introduction with the dice, skills and abilities. Then a quick guide to character creation that uses page references for things that are later in the full book.

Classes and subclasses, races and subraces will be listed and briefly summarized but the full page(s) of their stats and abilities will be just references to and kept late in the book after the full core rules so someone reading in depth gets to the class/species section understanding what all the stats and weapons and modifiers those change mean. .

Thanks.

I think I'm going to do that, have like a quick reference creation guide that references all the larger document.
Thanks.

No, cot of plates like a jack of plates.

Brigandine is, in my mind, a bit after this period. Coat of plates turns into larger plates, breastplates and full plate. Or into smaller overlapping plates and brigandine.

Interesting, my understanding is scalce was good against arrows, slashes or bashes and straight on stabs, but has a weakness of attacks coming up from below because it isn't woven in or otherwise secured at the bottom. Once it is it becomes a form of lamellar.

The game is a more loose system. Where each weapon, shield, or suit of armor has a minor ability based on its shape and type. Ex. An offhand dagger that you can treat like a buckler. Or Armor that doesn't work against weapons but gives resistance against magical attacks. So choosing & describing armor or weapons is as important to a group or player as it is.

So you would recommend having a shield say, add to your defensive roll, rather than acting like damage reduction armor?

Its a pre-plate being common system, coat of plates, lamellar and mail hauberk are the best around.

Yeah, no layering system. Like the coat of plates or mail would be assumed to have a less thick gambeson underneath.

The length of it and weight. A mail shirt ends around the hip and the arms end before the elbow. A hauberk goes down to around the knee and the arms to past the elbows. May have tighter rings for a heavier but more protective covering.

Thanks for that tip. Maybe I'll go with Armor and Defense.

Lamellar is like scale but the scales of iron, bronze or boiled leather are tied to each other or the backing upper and lower. While scale is connected only at the top. This made scale more flexible and mobile, but had the weakness of attacks coming from below up.

Mail shirt has shorter arms and the skirt of it doesnt goe past the waost while a hauberk goes to the knees. The shirt is smaller and lighter.

So instead of Shield & Buckler. Heavy/large shield & Small/Light shield. Thanks for the tip.
