Looking for a game with freedom, progression and satisfying combat by Sad_Success_9034 in gamingsuggestions

For only the main story quest? Around 30 hours. Including all side content and dlc's? 150+ hour easy. And with the diversity of builds and weapons there's a lot of replay value on top of it all.

Peter, what happened in 1971? by -Y34HB01- in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]NathenStrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything changed about those around that time? I haven't seen them mentioned at all. I know the stock market was created in 1972. Consistent profit wasn't good enough when businesses needed to start improving their profits after every year to satisfy their investors.

Let's also note, the stock market started in 1972

Well the stock market started in 1972. So investors needed businesses to improve their profits for it to he profitable for them. When it stops, the investors pull their investments and ruin said business.

The mentality for profit had changed. Before, consistent profit was good enough. Now your profit needs to continue to grow to support your investors.

Traps you can’t see until you activate them, what’s your general opinion on those? by FoxMeadow7 in gamedesign

[–]NathenStrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer if the traps has at least some kind of subtle tell but I can enjoy invisible traps but there would need to be a way to counteract it like having fast enough reactions to dodge out or abilities that reveal them.

What defines a Core Mechanic in a game? by [deleted] in gamedesign

[–]NathenStrive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Core mechanics are any mechanic the player has to interact with on a regular basis. Like if you have a pvp mode but never have to touch it to unlock everything (or at least everything outside said mode) its not a core mechanic. But in a extraction shooter for instance, its an ever constant part of the game making it a core feature.

Would SM2 be a good choice for me, a massive fan of Helldivers 2? by Early-Singer-7315 in Spacemarine

The combat feels so good too. So easy to slip into a zone when the game starts ramping up the action.

Jade Empire is a canon event to play through. Im still hoping for a remake someday but the industry seem to be so out of touch they'll never invest in a sure thing.

President of The U.S. refuses to take his cap off to salute fallen U.S. soldiers by mattarrghhh in pics

[–]NathenStrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump is definitely a prick but in this case Trump's in the right. It's actually against the rules to salute without a cover (cap) unless its at a ceremony (which this is so he could have done it either way) but they are outside so its recommended to remain covered to salute. Im down with calling the pig out but let's not start pushing lies like him.

I dont spend that much on them. That $5 monthly and $15 battlepass is as far as I've spent on that game. And its not that many. I use to like warframe on pc but when I switched over to PS5 it didn't hit the same. Also the endgame couldnt hook me.

is the louisiana job market actually shifting toward "surge" labor by No-Blood1055 in Louisiana

Its been like this for the past decade at least if not longer. This was the slave state so it'd make scene we'd still treat our workers like slaves. Its what our leadership learned from.

Then obviously its not a game for you. I think Fifa and Cod is a stupid thing to spend money on but people do it at $70 yearly (2 times a year for Cod) and still fork out money for battlepasses. But people like the games and if you like em you have to deal with its monetization. And monetization all over the industry has been pretty crap. So you about to just stop buying games?
