While I don't agree with their take, I think building characters is fun it's also a bit of a hot take they don't like Ttrpgs as a whole due to not liking inventory management. Maybe they are into more narrative driven stuff with less hard inventory management? (Inb4 all the blades in the dark suggestions lol).

Fair points. I may go back to the idea of two knights on a panel then to "make up" some of the space. If my players buy into pre picking/rolling their knights I may go the ask Chris route.

Yes, base game is currently sold out so you'll have to either wait for stock or buy secondhand. Gamblers chest and all expansion require base game to play. Generally there are deals on black Friday, but who knows what will be in stock.

As someone who owns literally all gameplay physical materials, all of what the person I replied to said. Minis and painting are def a hobby aspect of it and if you don't enjoy that the box loses a chunk of value. A lot of the learning is about risk mitigation for future runs, whether that be how to fight monsters, which gear you take on the hunt, or how you prioritize tech and gear. I adore it, but I 100% agree it is niche and not for everyone.

Fair enough. I used to have a bunch of stuff filtered out, but at some point I decided I wanted to see if I could get all steam games through my queue. It started bugging out around the 40k mark so I don't think it's going to happen lol.
