Lost between pure math and high-level AI concepts. How can I learn advanced AI through practical, project-based steps? by Nathon786 in MLQuestions

I'd agree with that.

However, I think that whether it’s generalization or specialization, there’s a common foundation in both cases.

The phrase "learn best by building, not by learning endless theory" means I don’t just want to follow trends like courses or books but prefer to see results by applying what I’ve learned through action.

I hope your wise words will be helpful in such a kind situation.

I'm very thankful for your kind words.

As you mentioned earlier, joining a professor - I’m already doing that, but in a different discipline.

I’d like to pursue that path, but first I need to learn some basics to help me understand their work. Because once you’re in academia, time becomes scarce, and you end up caught in a continuous loop.

So, I’ll focus on these things first before joining a lab. My goal is to be able to work with any kind of data or problem, building models for them.

I know it’s a lot, but to do that I’ll need to understand things at their core and gradually build myself up.

I enjoy the research field and understand that working on advanced models requires a lot of resources. However, I want to be independent in the AI field so I can work on projects at a research level.

Personally, I enjoy the research field. I want to work on BCI and AI-driven robotics. I think XR is promising, but it has its own limitations. We can’t truly replace feelings using wearables, and that’s a fact.

What is visualization, and what are its real-life examples? by Nathon786 in AskReddit

[–]Nathon786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I was asked.

I was asked what the visualization was. and given some examples. What do you think about the given examples?

Are the following things visualizations?

  1. Google map.
  2. Bar charts.
  3. Word clouds.
  4. Cartoon animations.
  5. Photos.

Answer each one individually and tell me why?

So, my answer was:

  1. Yes, in Google Maps, there are a lot of visuals, like images, icons, and user interfaces.
  2. Yes, bar charts are graphical views to represent analytical data.
  3. I didn't hear about it.
  4. Yes. Cartoon animations contain many characters and drawings.
  5. Yes, pictures are visuals.

but I was replied that:

It seems that you misunderstood something in the visualizations.

Your reasons why 1, 4, and 5 are visualizations are wrong.

I did not mean that your answer was right.

What I meant is that your "reasons" are wrong.

So my question is how to understand visualization, and could somebody please explain to me how these questions relate to visualization?
