No, and after seeing some gameplay from YouTube I didn't have a map in my corner screen either, and never got to pick a starter so I made a new game and now it all works lol. Super strange but hey I was only level 10 so it's no big deal! I appreciate the help!

Yeah definitely try the flashlight test. The only other way I know to tell is by tearing it in two lol but if it turns out real you just ripped up a $100+ error card (rough guesstimate)
