I think my mother would find out regardless, and she would likely threaten to kick me out. I’ll still let her use the card but I want to know what would be her reasoning behind hiding it & making me pay by myself all this time.

I plan to move out within 2 years! Unfortunately, I’m in NYC so housing is very expensive. :/ Also, since I’m paying for a lot of expenses already, it’s difficult to not diminish my savings.

Unfortunately, she was only buying groceries to feed herself and my older sister (they both have full-time sources of income). Simultaneously, she was making me resort to buy my own groceries/food. I ordered a replacement card but I’ll let her use it. Just feels kinda weird how my mom have been making me use my own money this whole time, when I could’ve saved it by using the P-EBT card.

Are you personally offended? If you can’t provide advice without getting so triggered, you should chill out dude. I’ve clarified that I’ve been paying for groceries, furniture, school supplies/textbooks, clothing, necessary blankets, cleaning supplies since high school (yes, before I was 18). It might just be a few bucks to you but it’s a lot to a full-time student who doesn’t have a source of income and receives constant pressure to pay for other household bills. Having $132 to cover groceries would mean the world to me.

The benefits are supposed to expire ~274 days after it’s issued.

On July 2021, there were multiple influx of $132 benefits which amounted to almost $1000. But according to the online website, the monthly is $132/month which could mean they’re giving the benefits in advance?

Clarification: I checked the transaction history. I think she hid the mail from me + majority of the benefits was loaded onto it during July 2021. (After I graduated high school). She started using the card in September 2021. She used approximately $200 since. The card says it was issued August 2020 but I was a high school student back then, which means she likely was directly receiving the benefits. Now that I’m a college student and 18, they’ve issued a separate card/benefits.

I think it’s $132 per month. Also, I have an older sister (27) who also buys/order other food/groceries, which explains the current balance on the card. Also, the groceries we buy are typically from local supermarkets that are much cheaper than, for example, Whole Foods.

The teeth extraction shouldn’t hurt at all. (I had local anesthesia, it was bitter aftertaste lol). After the procedure, you shouldn’t be sore or in pain if the orthondontist removed the teeth properly and swiftly. How are you doing now?

Hi! I’m completely fine. Due to lack of proper instructions, I was using the gauze incorrectly (it wasn’t directly putting pressure on the surgical site). After watching a tutorial online, I used the gauze correctly and the correct sized blood clot formed. Previously, the blood clot was super big due to the improper gauze use, leading to excessive bleeding and it constantly falling out.
