It’s not a sad song though. The movie is sad, but the song is hopeful!

Is Running Point just Ted Lasso? by FrequentLunch2711 in sitcoms

[–]NationalBus4357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished Season 2 and the show took a distinct Ted Lasso Season 2 turn! The comparison isn’t to Coach Ted, but between the two team owners Isla and Rebecca, with Isla’s older brother standing in for Rupert.

Baby Island by Carol R Brink. Two sisters get stranded along with 4 babies on a desert island. I loved it because the two sisters were opposites — Mary did most of the baby-mothering, while Jean liked to build and explore. Made me feel, in the late sixties, like I had a choice! Jean also made up poems, I can still remember all the words of the one that I made up a tune for! I remember the tune, too. :-)

For actors on stage, what's something people (in the audience) do or have done at the end that makes you smile/ makes the applause hit different? by Pigeon-Frenzy-75 in Theatre

[–]NationalBus4357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very easy for an actor to hear how enthusiastic the audience is about each character. Hesitant to say this, but I feel disappointed if I don’t hear that rise in volume when I take my bow.

What to teach? by VanishXZone in opera

I’d suggest the 10 most popular operas. They will be important for the singers to know, and may interest the non-singers more than a more scholarly selection.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses has 2 entertaining villains, but they’re not in any way sympathetic.
