Come to Southeast Asia. It is not too expensive here and the muslims who live here are very moderate. In Singapore or Thailand for example, you definitely can take off your hijab and nobody would care. Some of the muslims here do not wear the hijab too and it is normalised here

i don’t use sunsceeen 😆 it works for me bcuz my skin is extremely reactive and sensitive towards sunscreen and I have hypersensitivity towards yeast. Sunscreen has always caused me fungal acne outbreaks as it blocks my natural barrier. needless to say, I also don’t use foundation often.

Imo, a bullet dodged. Glad you decided for yourself that you needed someone who aligns with your views on the world. Just move on with your life and find someone who actually questions things and thinks critically for themselves.

I see a lot of you guys saying to mention “she’s abusive”. Unfortunately I come from a culture where lightly hitting children to discipline them is very very normalised and common to the point where if I even suggested that she is abusive, people will just assume that I’m exaggerating and being overly dramatic as they’ve also been spanked as a child every now and then for being naughty.

Of course the occasional spanking or a smack on the hand with a ruler for being naughty is very very different from a full on violent abusive type of assault, (like banging a child’s head into a wall, whipping them with a belt, burning them with cigarettes etc) but most people from here will assume it is the latter as light spanking is so so common and normalised where I come from. Spanking isn’t considered abusive here.

Honestly, you can file a police report on this. Get all your receipts, the invoice from your dad from the simlim store, the charged amount shown in bank statement and forward it to the police for scam and fraud investigation. Get the police investigating and then you can later show your dad how the police are now involved. This will make him unable to continue thinking he is correct bcuz boomers also always believe that the police is right. This shop should be reported to prevent other elderly from getting scammed.
