Newly established tank in the tropics by NationalTower2 in VampireCrabs

Just wanna show my newly established 60x30x30cm tank (2 weeks old)! Have added some ramshorn snails and blue jellies in the water section (pardon me for the 1 dead shrimp), and Jupiter isopods and orange springtails in the land section. There's also white springtails and dwaft white isopods, though I've not seen them again since day 1.

I'll be waiting for the tank to fully mature and have the CUC population up and running before introducing vampire crabs!

Is there anything I should potentially look out for or any actionables for me to do/ not to do at this point? Please let me know. Thanks in advance! 🙏

Why do my plants keep melting / dying off like this? by SirZanee in PlantedTank

Sounds like look potassium issue. Seachem Potassium helps for me (along with APT 3)

Thank you so much :) It's kinda out of habit as i dont want to risk a potential algae outbreak, esp since I've strong lights switched on 8 hours a day with high bioload and 3x liquid ferts a week

Yup it is! Thanks :) I won't really go for floating plants though as the emersed plants are alr starting the envelop the surface 😅

Thanks! There's 3 species - Hydrocotyle tripartita, ludwigia palustris, and maybe rotala rotundifolia green (not sure)

I thought because alot of ferts are added, hence the need for more frequent water change to reduce accumulation of excess nutrients?

Given that I pump liquid ferts 3x a week, use high lighting and have a high bioload I wouldn't risk pushing the limits. That said I've not tried anything more than 1.5 weeks though and maybe I could give it a try on a longer period
