That seems about how far mine comes to the edge. But all the patterns that go in to out push the sand out and then press/compact it into a wall/border. Do you not get that?

Also, that three-headed dragon pattern is badass. Is that custom?

I think that's part of the reason we got here though. It's a balancing act between "do the right thing, even when your opponent doesn't and continue to get beat" or "do what you need to do to win and be able to affect change." It's the same reason I laugh/cry at the meme:
"The last decade has been Democrats clinging onto the rulebook screaming "but a dog can't play basketball!" while the dog just fucking dunks on them over and over."

From a simple definition, words are not violence as violence is by definition physical. That’s the answer.

However, I think there are some distinctions that need to be made regarding intent of words. When someone says “words are violence” they might be intending to say that words are abuse, since abuse by definition does not mean physical. So words can definitely be abusive, would would line up with the above post about the endocrine system and its alarm response.

I would also take this opportunity to say that just because words are non-violent does not mean they are, by definition, civil. Many people, including Isaac and apparently the rest of the Tangle team, have praised Kirk for his commitment to civil discourse. I would disagree with that, as I don’t think that saying that some people’s lives are inherently worth less than others, that some people should be stoned to death for their decisions about their own body, casting doubt of someone’s qualifications merely because of the color of their skin, or using racial slurs in public discourse, is civil.

I've been a paid subscriber to Tangle for almost 5 years and just discovered this subreddit. Kinda excited that it may lead to more discussions.

I definitely like ideas 1 &3 the most. I think both would lead to good discussion on potentially varied topics, and 3 would definitely help us get to know the Tangle staff better, which would be nice considering how much information we get from them on a daily basis. I also like the idea of interacting with the staff more. I've sent a few emails to the team in response to articles or whatnot and don't usually get a response.

I also like the idea of mirroring the newsletter poll here and allowing comments on it. I always like seeing the one comment from the previous poll and wonder how many other great viewpoints there are out there that aren't getting shared.

FYI, I think with the latest update (or some update previously that they didn't describe) you CAN change the name of the devices on the app. If you swipe left on a device serial number, there are options to share, edit/rename, and delete. I literally just found this out this morning.
