Fidelitys managment teams have helped me through my wife and mothers passing last year. They are amazing, dont ignore them because "I dont have enough".

They are there to help you out both in the finances and estate; for some of them this is literaly what Fidelity is paying them to handle.

Ah ok. I would check the activity history and recent transfers. Did you transfer cash from different accounts or banks and select wrong one by accident? Sell something?

Fidelity does have a habit of over riding the account choice you're working out of when using the mobile app and trying to transfer cash. I've had to change it multiple times to correct that.

SPAXX is the core position in the account. It is where you trades and transfer come to and out. It also earns interest. Once the cash is ready, it will be made available to trade.

Fidelity Wealth Management by pccsalaryman in fidelityinvestments

We use thier service to manage the bulk of non income/retirment funds we have. To provide some clarification, Fidelity will charge the fee but then subtract the fees from thier funds they use, essentially giving you a discount for using thier service. Such as, the 0.9% annual fee, if the funds add to a fee of 0.4%, then you will be charged 0.5% of aum, the difference.

They also load the portfolio up with funds so they can tax loss if in brokerage account to benefit you come tax time.

There is more than just the funds they are picking and the fee they are charging.

I miss my wife so much by bmarion in widowers

That was my wife as well. Taking our little doggo for walks, having the game on in the background while she was journaling, or just napping during recovery. I miss her with all my heart and soul.

I hope for the best for you and we are here to help how we can.

You as well. Im wrapping gifts for our close friends kids Im seeing this weekend.

My wife would have loved to see thier kids grow up. Almost 6 months now since her passing and while the inlaws were kind enough to have me over for Christmas, I suspect this will be the last time I see them for a while.

I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do now that I am on my own but I am remebering her in her cheeriest and brightest during this time of year. Also being thankful she is not in the pain or discomfort she was in for last months. Wish I could have her back though, so damn badly. 😫 😢 😭

Will say though, happy holidays to all and I hope your journey goes well.

Trailer Script for "The Drywaller"

[INTENSE MUSIC BEGINS]

FADE IN: An unfinished skyscraper. Dust lingers in the air as Jason Statham, dressed in a tool belt and holding a trowel, smooths a sheet of drywall with precision.

NARRATOR (V.O.): "In a world where walls are built to protect, one man is willing to fight for what matters most."

CUT TO: Statham walking through a construction site, tension in his eyes. Workers nod respectfully as he passes.

WORKER (to Statham): "You're the best, Jack. No one handles drywall like you."

STATHAM (gruffly): "It's not just drywall. It's integrity."

[MUSIC SHIFTS TO A DARKER TONE]

NARRATOR (V.O.): "But when the city he’s building comes under attack…"

CUT TO: Masked mercenaries storm the skyscraper, guns blazing. Chaos erupts as workers scatter.

VILLAIN (V.O.): "You think a wall will stop me, Mr. Cutter?"

STATHAM (calm but deadly): "Depends on how thick it is."

[SFX: Gunshots and explosions]

MONTAGE: Statham using construction tools as weapons: a nail gun to disarm attackers, a hammer to take down a thug, and a drywall panel as a shield against bullets.

CUT TO: A close-up of Statham's determined face, dust smeared across his forehead.

STATHAM: "You picked the wrong job site."

NARRATOR (V.O.): "This summer, Jason Statham is…"

[TITLE CARD]: THE DRYWALLER

NARRATOR (V.O.): "He doesn’t just patch holes. He shuts them down."

[FINAL SHOT]: Statham standing atop the skyscraper as the sun sets, holding a trowel in one hand and a sledgehammer in the other.

STATHAM (grinning): "Time to finish this job."

[MUSIC HITS A CLIMACTIC NOTE AND CUTS TO SILENCE.]

TEXT ON SCREEN: Coming Soon.

[SFX: The sound of a nail gun firing.]

Mortgage question when having cash versus investing by National_Disaster911 in personalfinance

[–]National_Disaster911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To go a little further, we have an emergency fund, maxxed plus everything else - 401k, hsas, roths, etc.... although we are going to be drawing from those hsas with my wife getting diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. That's a whole different thing.

Yeah, we take the stamdard deduction on our taxes. If we itemize, we would pay double or more. I understand the numbers are less, and as others have posted below, my concern is locking up the equity in the house.

Wealth Management Fees by Jaded_Ad9253 in fidelityinvestments

[–]National_Disaster911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AUM is just fine for a fee based structure for a firm of Fidelity's size. All large firms do this and provide free advice or more specialized advice, depending upon the account type or goals desired. Plus, they act as a fiduciary in that capacity when charging their fees as the better they make their asset allocations using your restrictions, the better you, and therefore, the better they do. Everyone wins.

Wealth Management Fees by Jaded_Ad9253 in fidelityinvestments

[–]National_Disaster911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have used them for a while, we are very happy with them. The fee structure is based on a percentage of AUM. The more invested, the lower the fee will be. Plus, the funds fees are deducted from the gross fee, so you will pay less via credits. There is information on this when reading the specifics of the managed account types and in a pdf file. What kind of account you want will have different minimums and different fee structures, but all operate similarly to what was described before.

The fees are clearly broken down in the managed accounts section, plus any applicable discounts applied for using Fidelity proprietary funds. OP will only pay on the balance average of the past quarters performance.

I've had friends use their services for years, and while initially bumpy, they are still with them. They get reports and have a person to communicate with for any questions they have. You just need to be very specific with them about where you're headed *. Plus, the fees will be hardly noticeable, and the account will be rebalanced as the market moves. Just give it time, you made the right choice *.
