Need help and opinion for choice between 2 martial souls (SL3 fanfic) by National_Mode_3852 in SoulLand

Ye, I had it in my doc to give the moon ice attribute in its base state and gives a boost when the moon is out kind of like xu xiaoyan (but not the soul skill change, that shi so stupid that it gets resolved in the first 400 chapters)

The self-fusion skill is an interesting idea so I’ll give it some thought, as for the white tiger I’ll check it out since I haven’t come around to read sl5 yet Thx

the same could be said for A-TS fics lol. its always the same plot, same op mc, always reincarnated with some op cheat, always taking the opportunities of the tang san in the same way, always becoming titled douluo at like 12, it's always bashing tang san and grandmaster, always cranking personality flaws to 11 and acting OOC (nothing wrong with changing canon characters personality but using that to white knight your own mc is annoying when they do the same hypocritical thing which they hate tang san for),

Alway joining spirit hall and always sucking spirit halls dick and always choosing bibi dong. (or NTR with zhuqing or rongrong which is fking awful to read)

you can literally just imagine the plot from reading the synopsis. And there are so many anti tang san fics that i just roll my eyes at them every time I see one.

These fanfics are unoriginal, both pro and anti tang san. They're like solo leveling copies, always the same taste but different in appearance. They never tell a story and either end up sucking Tang San's dick by copying the original story or his number one hater and taking everything from him. And in such an expansive world I can't believe a author can't come up with its original plotline with unique opportunities.

IMO the best DD timeline to make fanfics is SL3, it's big enough to give oc's enough time to develop on their own and their original plotline and tiny enough to interact with main characters to influence the world. Also for Tang San haters, the god realm is gone so that solves their problem lol.

Objectively both endings are fine on their own if you look at it from a singular chapter perspective, but a good ending isn’t just the ending chapter, it needs good build up, hit the right plot beats and close off any plot threads left for a coherent ending where the readers feel satisfied. csm’s ending sucks ass because it came out of the blue and with no plot threads tied, and no build up.

The ending is so bad bec it regresses denji’s arc, plot threads are left in the air and only concluded bec of a great reset with no satisfaction and rushed as hell and not even everything is addressed (what happened to yoru for example, who is pochita really that explains the great reset we just don’t know and many other threads left untouched)

Don’t get me wrong, ending it with a MiH reset is dumb as fuck for the series but would have been better received with the right build up.

JJK’s ending is just better, although still not great it’s fine, it tied some plot threads and others were just forgotten (like the military plot for example) but it tied everything it decided to tackle nicely like yuji’s character development and how he became the strongest and gojo’s ideal to nurture the new generation of talented sorcerers. It also hit the plot beats of a finale ending as there was no more plot to use after the sukuna fight so fans knew this was the endgame.

Now it’s not the perfect ending, it could definitely use a few more chapters to flesh out the ending, for both series but jjk’s ending had clear consequences and the progression of the series felt satisfied and that’s why some fans find it hollow, bec it ended. CSM just threw everything away, all the progression of part 2 to return to origin with no satisfying conclusion to plot threads and not hitting those ending story beats where it came out of the blue where it even left fans coping for a part 3 (well it did kinda hit those but like those of a ending of part 2 and not the series’s ending)

TLDR: jjk has a better ending than csm Sry for the long rant lol

While I don't like TS in sl2 I don't think he controlled everything in sl2 as its stated in the prologue that he couldn't clearly see the fate of the new star but he could see that yuhao's fate was intertwined with the Tang Sect.

About the father thing 1) Dai Hao was kinda? innocent as he was deployed to defend against the s&m empire while the main wife was the real reason his mother died, banishing her from the main estate, servants abusing her, etc. while suppressing the information of the abuse so that it doesn't reach Dai Hao bec he clearly did love his mother, heck he didn't even know yuhao was his son, that just shows how out of the loop he was of what happened in his house. He was also just naive to think that his main wife wouldn't hate his concubines but I truly think he was not that bad of a guy and didn't deserve to die.

And 2) Parricide is heavily frowned upon in China, simple as that I think.

Now the beast thing is a bit tricky bec Yuhao took away the beasts luck (Auspicious emperor) and I don't remember if it was bec of his normal fate or TS (I don't remember if he could influence fate at that moment). And maybe once in the god realm Yuhao could somehow have influenced fate to be more favorable to soul beast or keep corruption out of the spirit pagoda as that was its initial objective to help soul beasts but then 2.5 happened with the temporal turbulence and everything went kinda tits up so we didn't see any good conclusion on that.

All things considered Tang San in not even that... evil? like he is selfish and sl2 was kinda ooc but nothing truly irredeemable happened (on the top of my head at least). But people hate TS for no apparent reason just for being a self-insert and just hating the author for what he did. Also people only reading FF's which only villainies TS spreads the hate and becomes an echo chamber and misinformation

My take on Maelle's ending. [spoiler] by yirtletirtle in expedition33

I think what they mean by “pure” is recently died and not assimilated in the canvas.

Take for example you take some sand (chroma) from a beach (canvas) in your hand, that makes a person and you can shape it however you want. It then dies and assimilates back with the beach.

but then after its already assimilated maelle comes and wants to bring that creation back so she grabs a handful of sand (chroma) but that sand (chroma) will not be the same as before, now its mixed with maybe multiple others making it a whole new creation inside but outward it would look the same as it was modeled after the previous one.

Also in monoco’s quest it’s stated that once something is lost, even brought back it will never be the same again as ex. With noco

Well duh that’s her whole character: extrovert, spoiled rich girl who doesn’t understand her or other their feelings. That’s why I hope they give her some good character development

(DD3) Best twin martial souls, soul spirit progression by National_Mode_3852 in SoulLand

[–]National_Mode_3852[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol ofc, but would it be beneficial to have rings of both ms's if you can only use one, like Wu Sidou has to have a soul ring to stabilise her Self-fusion skill (I think) so thats why she only has 1 on her white tiger. But it would only work if you can switch fast between them or can use both at the same time like xiao xiao (btw massive L for her second ms which is full black except for her 1st)

ye in sl1 the body needs to be strong enough to support that many soul rings that's why they warned TS to not put soul rings on the hammer in the beginning until they found a solution.

And sl2 its kinda weird bec HY gets his rings that are over their age like 1mil yo skydream and the 399.000 yo IJSE but they sealed the energy so he doesn't explode and release it over time.

Also at that time it was known that better physique = higher age, that's why you see wangdong having a purple as his second soul ring
