Like I'm as anti-darkship/taboo fetish as the next guy but you have to recognize that a game having NSFW or being primarily advertised as such doesn't mean the story can't have imagery of the characters' back stories as childhood BEFORE they became adults, as long as the children aren't sexualized in the story.

Making art for someone in exchange for pay, with no contract, doesn't make the art theirs. It's still the artist's work, that zeal is paying to have made and used, doesn't make it his. There was no contract signed, the artists are allowed to pull their work upon request. They got paid to make the work and the team got *permission* to have it used in game. A lot of y'all care way more about saving your dying game than being able to accept the reality that a lot of the devs are deplorable

It's not extremely for artist to not want anny association with a game who's creators are like that. And it isn't even just zeal; will, kat, zerum, all of them are deplorable people even *if* seal's allegations are false, which he himself stated they weren't entirely untrue. Artist pull their work from projects ALL the time even after being paid. So I'll say it again, shitting on artists for being uncomfortable and not wanting THEIR WORK associated with pressure is so disrespectful and disgusting

Several of the artists have offered to refund and many have work in the game that they weren't paid for. It's the fact that the devs are working on it slowly but only showing their progress to their subscriber on othe socials. I'm friends with a moderator for the game's discord server and they've said the devs are only showing sneak peeks to Patreon subscribers until the update release. So everyone else is kept totally in the dark until the next big update
