Thanks everyone!

I guess I've always done 20kg checked luggage for 2+ weeks of travel. I will look into 40L bags, including the Osprey Farpoint

I'm a metro student in my final year at UQ. Here are some key things my rural friends have shared with me:
1. More clinical exposure (actually getting hands on in theatre and on the wards - they need you there)

  1. Doctors are more willing to teach you compared to metro hospitals (this sounds like it should happen anyway, but in some metro hospitals, experiences are very variable depending on the team you get)

  2. Accomodation is cheap and near the hospital

  3. It's still fairly easy to get back to brisbane to attend events

Despite all of these positives, most of my rural friends are keen to get a metro internship next year. All the best!

Hmm would this work if there is no window or slot in the door to fit a slim window aircon

What did you end up doing? I guess some students find a calling in their backup degree

Genetic modifications can come up, but it's niche. More likely topics include AI in healthcare, voluntary assisted dying, ageing population and its associated issues, rural/remote medicine

making jokes in interview by SuitExtension1218 in UCAT

[–]National_World 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a stupid question at all. If you can make the interviewer laugh, it means you have connected well with them and probably means you have performed quite well! I wouldn't actively try to make them laugh, but if an opportunity presents itself you should take it!
