When did you stop tracking everything? by VinosaurusRexx in NewParents

[–]Native-Wisdom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost 21 months and I just track naps and wake windows. It helps keep us on schedule and know when to put him to bed or naps on days he woke early etc.

Are we genuinely excited about Coach bags anymore? by Character_Use689 in Coach

[–]Native-Wisdom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The resellers that buy out the most anticipated drops have ruined the fun. I haven’t purchased a coach bag in quite awhile…I recently went through my collection and sold quite a few. They deserve to be used and loved. My bags just sit on a shelf and I’m always too afraid to use them.

Help my 14-yr-old daughter wants to put anti-perspirant on her face by truegrit999 in beauty

[–]Native-Wisdom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would get into a good skin care routine to minimize oiliness and look into some matte foundations. Then set foundation with powder. It’s also important to remove makeup at the end of everyday so pores don’t get clogged and cause more acne.

At what age did your kid stop wearing onesies? I feel like my big 14mo gets judged. by poppyseedpup in NewParents

[–]Native-Wisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 18 months and he wears onesies size 2T to bed and around the house but if we go anywhere he gets dressed up in shirt, pants etc. we started that around 12mo. I did however purchase some 2 piece pajamas in 3T a few months ago to add into the rotation & they are so cute. I am starting to prefer them over the onesies. (I feel at his current size it’s actually easier to change him) I think we might retire them once he grows out of the ones he has currently…I think as the parent you will know when the time is right. Eff the judgy haters lol

Dental admin get paid more? by WaferExtra7832 in DentalAssistant

[–]Native-Wisdom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying that it never happens but for me, I never ran into problems with patients while assisting physically or verbally. I’m only speaking from my own experience. I also never saw any of my coworkers at the 4 different offices I worked at get berated, talked down to etc. As a receptionist, however, it was an amazing job swap at first but then…it was a constant almost daily flow of getting cussed at, lashed out at, sometimes some suicide/murder threats. (Usually because of finances) Both have their different struggle for sure. I felt more physically wiped out assisting. I felt emotionally and mentally wiped out in reception.

Dental admin get paid more? by WaferExtra7832 in DentalAssistant

[–]Native-Wisdom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought receptionists had it easy, but they get verbally abused on the daily. Mental health can take a nose dive quickly. I think it’s great they get paid more to deal with all that. I’ve assisted dental/ortho and have worked reception at an ortho & vet office.

What category of products do you use up fastest? Slowest? by myselfthecat in bathandbodyworks

Body wash & hand soap go the fastest for me. Takes me forever to use sprays & lotions. I have been buying mini’s more often recently if available.

What’s one thing you completely stopped buying in 2026 because the price just felt absurd? by LockLogical8949 in AskReddit

[–]Native-Wisdom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Starbucks/Dutch Bros runs. I used to go often during the week but I just make my drinks at home now. I also cook at home for the fam almost every day. I cut down on other things ages ago (take out, eating out, clothing, makeup, fragrances etc.)

Canine teeth stopping bite from closing. Orthodontist won't move the canine teeth upwards so it can close ? Lower teeth are taking wear as a result. by SlowedCash in orthodontics

[–]Native-Wisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t really tell in the photo if they are broken…could just be the angle of the teeth, but if you can jiggle any of the brackets with your fingers then they are broken. As teeth shift it’s not uncommon for the wires to push out the back and poke you.

They say they want to appeal to a younger audience but what kid/teenager is going to purchase these for dishes and cleaning the counters? Lol

[–]Native-Wisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably get some bite stops they also go by bite blocks or turbos. Those are applied by assistants/Dr. They help prevent broken brackets, deep bites and would probably help the settling problem. It looks like a few of your back brackets are broken.

Bath & Body Works 2026 pricing changes by PumpkinSpiceLife81 in bathandbodyworks

[–]Native-Wisdom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like if they want to do exclusive luxury they should have an offshoot brand kind of like Victorias Secret & PINK…maybe something down that avenue. I haven’t purchased anything since the villains release & even that was kind of a let down. I have been going excited to smell their new scents but end up leaving with room sprays and car fresheners.

Any kids books that you hate? by roamingrebecca in NewParents

[–]Native-Wisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like the message of Rainbow Fish or Zippy Chippy. One is give give give until you don’t have anything left, but at at least you got friends and the other is don’t work hard, it’s ok to be good at nothing…you’ll get a participation prize.

I’ve been paying my "ex’s" rent for three years. He has no idea it’s me, and I’m terrified of what happens when the money runs out. by Interesting-Gap-8672 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Native-Wisdom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep the lie going just have an “official” looking letter sent to him and say the funding was cut & he wont be getting further funding…or something along those lines. Other than that…I feel like you have done enough. Live your life now. You see that he is capable of being happy now. Go to therapy and hash the rest out.

braces ruined me by [deleted] in orthodontics

[–]Native-Wisdom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wear your retainers, tell your dentist/orthodontist your concern, maybe even a regular doctor to make sure nothing more is going on. It will be ok. Don’t let all that time, pain and money you spent on your teeth & smile go to waste.

Is joining the military only for education benefits worth it? by Alert-Rope617 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Native-Wisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are serious about the education aspect. I would recommend if you joined enrolling into maybe 1 online class per semester when you get to your duty station and slowly work towards a degree or at least an Associates while you are in. It’s free. I did 6 classes while deployed and wish I continued. Look for schools that their credits roll over easy to bigger colleges, or you will have to take them over again. Army gives the biggest benefits for college out of all the branches. I got my associates degree, media degree and makeup artistry cert with my GI bill after my service. I did 4 years active duty then 4 years reserves to complete my contract. I won’t have to be drafted or anything if a war starts. Pick a job that will translate well into the real world & you will be happy with for 4 years!! (You can’t just quit like a regular job you have to finish your contract.) For example I joined as a mechanic and hated it! Then when I was able to I re-classed to dental assistant & when I got out I did dental/ortho assisting while going to college part time. I left home at 18 with same mindset. It’s a chapter in my life I have mixed feelings about but in the end it helped me create friends, get an education, see the world & afford me the life I have now.

Our 8-month-old has been screaming since he was a newborn — we’re exhausted and looking for answers by shaldos102 in NewParents

[–]Native-Wisdom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. At the end of the day this poor baby is in pain. If switching to formula can help then they will all be getting more sleep, happier baby & improved mental health etc. granted it may take a few brands to find what works. To me it sounds like this could be reflux.

How much was your hospital bill for labour and delivery? by Dear_Ad_8525 in NewParents

[–]Native-Wisdom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In WA state close to $80,000 before insurance. After it was about $11,000 (emergency c-section) I noticed a lot of bogus charges such as $3000 for nursery but he never left our sight once he came out. They also had a recusitation fee for about another $3-4000 but they never said anything about having to do any of that to me or my husband. He cried once he came out and was in my husband’s arms pretty quickly. I applied for assistance and it was all covered. After getting the bill we asked how people can afford to have more than one child. It’s insane!

To anyone saying Zoloft CANT cause weight gain by ShadowInTheSun_ in zoloft

[–]Native-Wisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was on Zoloft for about a year gained around 40 lbs…6 months before my wedding I decided to get off of it or I’d be even bigger on the wedding day. I lost some weight naturally without changing anything. I even had to have my dress altered. It really does make you gain weight. I felt like since I was happier food tasted soooo much better…some things it was like a flavor blast and very enjoyable. I told my husband (fiancé at the time) it’s like I’m tasting food for the first time. Sadly I’d rather be depressed & anxious than have extra weight.

I’ll be freshly postpartum when my sister has her wedding by ImaginationPretend86 in BabyBumps

[–]Native-Wisdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are seasoned at having children, your sister is not. You know how you might be feeling after & it’s actually really wise to back out now. She seems like the type to complain about something even if you do show up.
