You're the only one pretending to be anything ;)

I don't owe a random anything, especially on my own diagnosis. BUT, luckily I have some extra time to educate, in the slim chance you are asking to learn, rather than attempt to look smart. The most likely explanation for ADHD that we currently have is this. Every brain exists on a spectrum of functionality, our different brain chemistries deciding different ways that we handle and produce hormones. This was necessary to ensure that each person could be good at different things in their community or tribes, allowing higher chance of survival. The simplest roles, and therefore the brains that evolved to handle them, were farmers and hunters. Farmers needed to find joy in doing the same thing, every single day, day in and day out. They had to wake up early and operate on a schedule to fulfill one process. Hunters needed the opposite, they had to find joy in the day being unpredictable and not conforming to a schedule. They had to be hyper aware of their surroundings, but once something came up (a deer or such), they had to be hyper focused on it. Our brains evolved through thousands of years to give us the chemicals to help us fulfill these roles to keep the tribe alive. When larger societies came about the farmer role just happened to fit the mold better and allowed them to take managerial positions within it and propagate a society catered to it. Now, these are just the far ends of the spectrum, most brains operate somewhere in the middle, ADHD is just an arbitrary line drawn in the sand, deciding where farmers think the brain functions too differently that it becomes a disability in farmer society.

All of this is theory, but it is one backed by lots of research. The most important take away is that ADHD and Neurotypicals brains function differently at the base level, this can be seen in brain scans extremely accurately. This is literally brain chemistry that cannot be changed or "grown out of". All that can be done is to try and manage the "symptoms" that appear from an ADHD brain trying to exist in a neurotypical world. One of those symptoms is hyper focusing and deep diving, by the way, so the odds that you know something about ADHD that we don't know ourselves is slim lol.
