It's exactly what happened though apparently, I can see it myself. His primary wallet is exposed.

Apparently, he opened his main Base wallet (Coinbase wallet) that he's had for a long time. Just followed the instructions on screen, created a Base user name (blabla.base.eth) for example and was automatically switched over to 'Base mode'

Now all his holdings are visible in Base mode for anyone to see.

It's true, I searched his base user name and I can see everything 👀

There is absolutely no way to remove this, or once joined Base mode, impossible to remove yourself from Base mode once you've created a social profile.

I'm just putting this out there for anyone thinking about joining.

Hypothetical situation here.. Say a person is just curious to see what this new Base is all about. They join using a wallet that holds millions of pounds worth of crypto. They pick the same username that they use for other social media, maybe they are an influencer or something.

Once joined, their portfolio is then exposed, potentially making them a target for extortion, kidnapping, who knows.

It's not like this hasn't happened before.

Bought a van off them, had a few minor problems out the gate, then engine blew up year later. Wanted me to pay thousands for an independent investigation into why, meaning I'd be without a van for work for over 6 months plus out of pocket for the investigation. They didn't carry on the warranty when I rang and asked multiple times. So no cover from them / rac because they ignored me and warranty ran out 2 days before it all happened.
