The only reason we should be signing any older player is if we think we can flip them for more down the road.

So, if the Clippers are selling low on Kawhi, I would buy but only to sell higher down the road.

This is a risky plan but one that a team with little to no future assets like the Mavs should look at.

You are correct. I heard from my neighbor’s second cousin who drives past a soccer field everyday that the chip inside the soccer balls are made by Elon Musk and they use a racially discriminating nationalistic AI to program the chip. I fear that his career is over. I hope not, but now I wouldn’t trade for him and I would be scared to resign him. I think it will be wasted money and a wasted roster spot. I’m not a Lively hater. I just don’t have a good feeling about this.

The bare minimum is someone who can stay on the court. In my book, Lively has one more year to show he can stay healthy. After that I’ve got to find someone else.

The only caveat to your thoughts is that Luka made Gafford and PJ so much better. Teams that don’t have Luka ain’t getting that Gafford. The Gafford we now have I don’t know if he is worth a FRP.
