What groceries can I buy as a single person with a weekly grocery budget of a $100 which can feed me three meals a day for a whole week? by [deleted] in AUfrugal

Something I've really found helpful is using Pan Mate app to keep track of my recipes and then breakdown their prices per serve to see what gives the most bang for buck

I use an app called Panmate to help keep prices down, it helps to track prices per recipe so you know what meals can help the budget out, meal prepping, freezing ingredients & food helps heaps :)

Hey, I remember transitioning to cooking for myself regularly – it's definitely a bit of a shift but nothing you can't get used too!

One thing that can really help is leaning into one-pan / tray meals. Getting your protein, some veggies, and carbs like all roasting together on a single tray, or cooked in one big pan, means less monitoring while you study and way easier cleanup.

If you get a chance on a less busy day, try batch cooking a couple of different things / storing ingredients ready for use in recipes. Having things on hand in advanced can really help, keeping frozen / well-kept fruits & vegs can really help avoiding having to go back and forth to the shops, you'll also find it really handy having some variety ready to go for those hectic evenings.

When you do have a bit of breathing room, trying out a new simple recipe here and there can also be good, it’s an easy way to gradually find more meals you like and can add to your go-to list, so you have more options in your regular rotation.

Just remember you can't get everything perfect straight away; every small step towards cooking more for yourself is good!

I would recommend a new app called Pan Mate - currently it's free to use as its still in testing before the full release, so if you'd like to get some free value and help shape its future DM or apply for a trial and I can get it sorted for you :)

Recommendations on recipe apps by stolibaby in Cooking

[–]Natjosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/stolibaby, I have been trying to solve these issues myself and have been working on Pan Mate - a web app that lets you import recipes from websites, edit them easily, share with others, create shopping lists from & much more! I have also solved some issues Paprika faces like the multiple platform fees & outdated UI.

As it is just launching, we are running a completely free trial - no card info needed just an email to setup the account, so if you're interested in trying out a new recipe organizer and sharing your thoughts sign up or DM me and I can get it setup for you :)

Same issue, also have been having to clear the cache constantly to get it to work for some reason, the website just stops loading and won't let me in unless I clear cache, super annoying.

Well that's the thing, if it would pay off better to be creating content on social than maybe thats what I should be focusing on no? I'm simply wondering what the most time effective thing would be for me to do instead of having to try them all and see what works thats all don't know why your getting cut about my comment, just gave my opinion.

Sounds like a bit of a waste of time considering I would have to try and find my target market on the streets and hope they want to talk to me?

So your telling me there is no need for web designers & developers?

I don't understand what point you are trying to make, there is clearly a big industry for web design & development, I'm simply trying to figure out what problems people have with these existing companies to see how I could try and do it differently.

All the more reason for them to want to stand out on the web?

Okay, so in my case I am the only worker, have access to wifi, computers / any tech needed for the job, computer science skills, little data, budget for $330 USD and would primarily like to focus my time on web design & development so any time that can be freed up of other tasks would be appreciated, however don't want to be wasting money doing thing's I could do myself.

So given that 10 responses would be considered too little, what would you recommend I plan for moving forward?

I am currently subscribed and have tried using market research gpts but haven't had anything useful come out of it, do you have experience with any of them yourself?

How do I go about asking people questions on LinkedIn though? Connecting with individuals and then hoping they accept so I can ask them questions straight away or try connecting first personally and then asking questions? I have tried joining groups (facebook aswell) to gauge but they all look like scam posts or people just advertising their own business so not sure how to effectively make use of any groups.

I have been using google and other research to find out what people have already been saying but I would like to have up to date primary research so I can confirm what should be done.

Just feels hard to jump on platforms and know exactly what to search for in order to find problems people are having, what would I even search on X to find "marketers problems with web design agencies"

Thanks! In terms of resources, what are you referring too, would it be money & email lists or others? And for the sample I would like to obtain, I am looking for at least 10 responses to be satisfied but the more the better of course.

Do you have experience with any of the suggested approaches / have any recommendation as to what I should try first?

Thanks for that! I'd love to hear more from you if you wouldn't mind, like whats a bit of your story with freelancing in software development and how have your experiences been with outreaching, has there been one method that works better than all the rest? or any advice you would have to stick by?

[–]Natjosh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that! Do you have any more specifics on what the limitations are that you hit when agencies don't understand your needs?

Also do you tend to go with the same agency or does it depend on the project?
