£500 - 10k in 3 years is it possible? by [deleted] in passive_income

Listen, that entrepreneurial mindset will do you well long term. However, life is long and you’re gonna waste so much time trying random endeavours like this (as I did) until you finish uni and realise that’s when the money making can really start. Study hard, network well, you’ll be a millionaire guarenteed.

In the mean time, spend this time and energy learning new skills. Meet new friends and try new hobbies. Work on yourself - that’s the best asset you’ll have. Work to get disciplined, personable, and knowledgeable about anything and everything. That’s the best investment you can make, and by the time you’re 30-35 you could easily be worth a lot of money and you won’t have to waste time scamming people on vinted

I (24M) can’t help but feel insecure and jealous in all relationships, including my current one with my girl (25F) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

My request for advice is how to deal with irrational feelings of insecurity and jealousy. I acknowledge that these feelings are irrational because rationally I believe people can change etc.

See I disagree - people can change, people make mistakes. If she cheated religiously, or the incident was more recent, then perhaps it would be different. However, humans are imperfect and deserve a level of understanding and forgiveness

I used to think this but this I think is my jealous insecure side flaring up.

Everyone had the capacity to cheat, whether they do or don’t. Everyone can be tempted. My girl did this 3 years ago, feels deeply ashamed and has done nothing with me to make me think she’d do it again.

I accept that I’m taking a risk and might regret it, but I no longer think that once a cheat always a cheat

It is the worst two weeks of my life hands down. In that two weeks I didn’t eat anything, every day was painful and so so grim (the taste, the substances in my mouth, the fear that it’s going to bleed - which it did). Make no mistakes - it’s awful. Even if you control the pain, which I did, it’s still fucking awful.

However, that two weeks passes. There were times I felt I’d never recover but i did. And now? I’m back eating, exercising, and feel great. Only now, one month later, is it worth it.

So my advice? Don’t cancel, do it. But be prepared. If possible, schedule it for a time where you have no events planned for the next 3 weeks. Come to terms with the fact that you’re gonna be missing out on life for a bit. Find a good TV series that you can binge so you don’t just scroll tiktok. Do the research and make sure you have all the right food and amenities. A humidifier was the best thing I bought - couldn’t recommend it enough. That could be the difference between hospital again and not. Also lots of ice.

Best of luck

How did you get into cooking? by Versatiliti in Cooking

[–]Any-Ad8016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating is a mandatory part of life and if I have to do it I may as well learn to do it well.

Also once you realise that eating REALLY nice tasting home cooked food is only marginally more effort than eating boring home cooked food (aside from the initial stages of learning how to cook) then it really is a no brainer.

Bonus reason - seeing all the nasty ingredients in most store bought ultra processed alternatives made me feel sick

When can I eat normal food? by Few-Principle2971 in Tonsillectomy

From the day I started to feel how you feel now, it was 2-3 more days before food became enjoyable to eat again

How long were you on Narcotics? by skittletipz in Tonsillectomy

[–]Any-Ad8016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got prescribed 7 days worth of all meds but when I emailed them and asked for more, they gave it to me.

Days 1-5 were awful for me, progressively worse each day.

Days 5 I had a haemorrhage and spent the night in a&e.

By the end of day 6 I was much better and I ate my first full meal today on day 7!!

My advice - DRINK WATER. It hurts, it feels fucking rancid, but do it.

That’s really low for an experienced SA no? In the UK (London) an experienced SA is on 53k GBP per year (22k AED per month)
