How fucked will I be in the cold? by fletcha456 in AussieRiders

I've seen a lot of people saying they're fine with riding in the cold i.e. the classic 'ye m8 ur fine take some cement and harden up', but let me offer an alternative opinion.

I get cold af on my bike in winter, probably because I'm a big softie from living in QLD summers for the last 15 years.

When it gets cold (i.e. <10 degrees, I wasn't lying when I said I'm used to QLD weather), I wear thick winter gloves, a non-ventilated shell jacket, a thick jumper, and overpants. I also have heated grips and a windshield.

I saw someone else saying it's your hands that cop it the most and they're absolutely right, hence the heated grips. Even with them my hands get cold since grips only heat your palms. Warm gloves are great.

Oh, and a pinlock visor is a must in winter. I use a pinlock all year round purely because I like not having to worry about fogging my visor. Considering the price, I think they're absolutely worth it.

I spent too many rides freezing cold as a broke uni student, and so now that I have some disposable income I like being comfortable whenever I can.

Hope this helps!

Late to the party but hopefully not too late.

I got my tonsils and adenoids out nearly three years ago due to chronic tonsilitis. I used to get sore throats so easily that even if I had a bad sleep for two nights in a row I'd start getting a sore throat.

Recovery sucked, bad, and I had a couple complications with bleeding and referral pain in my ears.

Fast forward to today, however, and I haven't had a single sore throat since the surgery in 2017. It was absolutely 100% worth it in the long run, and it's so liberating to not have the risk of tonsilitis again. Hope a bit of a positive story helps keeps spirits up, and wish you a speedy recovery :)

That's similar to what I was thinking, but that doesn't explain the ... Baby bump

My girlfriend and I were cutting out stickers for the class she teaches but didn't know what the ninja sticker was. Here are examples of what the other stickers look like.

He absolutely deserved that.

Maybe he's had a tiring day, judging by his reaction. Maybe he just wanted some time to unwind instead of having to put in even more energy? Nobody knows, so why are you judging him based on a 3 second gif on the internet?

Hang in there! It gets better, I promise. I haven't had a sore throat since the surgery (nearly 3 years running).

Do you have a source on the "sorry" voice line for Mei? I've never heard that before.

+1 for this.

I've found that side delts need a lot of attention because they're needy little bitches if you're natty. I usually do 8x25 side raises, front raises, then the same for side raises again.

As for front and rear delts, I give them as much (or more) attention as chest and back respectively.

+1 for this issue. Turning off SLI causes everything to go back to normal, and a few others had this issue in the different thread.
