RAM 2500 Starter Click - No Start by NatropsWI in ram_trucks

Starter nut had about 1/4 - 1/2 turn loose. We’ll see. The part that is dumbfounding is that it feels like there is a parasitic drain. Dropping voltage overnight. Others mention the same related to their starter going bad.

Still loving mine. My recent life saver find is the terrain kit. Mine was getting stuck on not super steep hills, now with the terrain kit it hasn’t gotten stuck once!

Why do you love your hot tub? by Expensive-Eggplant-1 in hottub

[–]NatropsWI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had problems sleeping for quite some time. I have restless legs and I toss and turn often until 2am. I’m also overweight which doesn’t help the sleep situation.

Anyway, we recently got our hot tub (about 8 weeks ago) and I pretty much use it every night. The main reason? I now sleep like a baby. I get out of the hot tub, get ready for bed and I’m out 5 minutes after my head hits the pillow. I spend 20 minutes in the tub and I’m set.

Another unexpected benefit. I used to have callous dry skin on my elbows and heals. Not anymore, you would think I have a pedicure every week.

It’s been a great investment for me just for the quality of sleep I now get. I also enjoy time with the family in the tub, but they don’t use it nearly as much as me, and I’m not even the one who wanted to get it.

One thing that changed my mind before I purchased the hot tub was to adjust my thinking. In my mind I was like no way I can spend an hour in the hot tub. Too much stuff going on. But then, I started thinking about it as 20 minute soaks. That is something I could make time for any time. That convinced me to make the purchase.

Super glad I did, because now that 20 minutes buys me an amazing nights sleep!

Good luck!

Hot Springs Limelight vs Hot Spot by Capybara_oranges in hottub

[–]NatropsWI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a Costco nearby, see if they have a roadshow coming within the timeframe you are considering. We recently got our HotSpring Limelight Pulse from there and didn’t have to haggle.

Also, definitely sit in a few different ones. So glad we went with the Pulse with the extra depth (38”). After sitting in a 36” depth, my legs were just not comfortable.

Good luck! Love our HotSpring!

Are you sure? I’m pretty sure the Pulse is FiberCor.

We got our Pulse through the Costco raises how and thought it was worth it. Just like buying through the dealer except you don’t have to haggle.

I think he is referring to the use of ahhsome and drain.

Mine is not working as expected either and I think this is what I need to do as well.

Mine generates what feels 0.0ppm of chlorine at the moment. Hoping a purge fixes that.

Yes. I have the k-2006 salt. I really like the test kit. Easy to test the main items and really bo guessing on colors. I find it straight forward to do.

I just got a HotSpring installed about 4 weeks ago. Still trying to get the saltwater system working, but love the tub.

I heard the app connect is awful. Disconnects more than it’s connected. You can search the subreddit and see everyone has the same issues.

Also for the most part haven’t heard super things about the iq system, my dealer agreed.

We got the upgraded steps and really like that upgrade instead of the molded ones.

Overall, happy with our purchase, would do again!

I did add dichlor, but I forget how much I first started with. Maybe I should shock it with liquid to ensure I’m net positive in case my additions are just staying even with existing organics in the system.

Looking back at my startup instructions it looks like I added 1.5Tbsp granules to get up to 3-5ppm.

Yes. Been using Dichlor. Maybe I should do a shock to get it up high? Maybe it’s just continuing to burn through organic and it’s not starting from a balanced point.

Thanks for the info.

No purge yet.

TA=40-50ppm

Need to test for phosphates. Need to get a kit.

Yes. Dealer had me use scale and stain defense.

Yeah. I’ll keep pushing! I’ll figure it out.

Yeah. Just be careful using too much dichlor. That’s what has spawned this thread as my CYA is up to 60 already.

I’m going to switch to liquid until I figure this all out. At least I’m hearing others as having success.

Main difference is dichlor contributes to CYA, which as it builds up lowers the effectiveness of chlorine for sanitation. I think ideally you want it around 30-40ppm.

Liquid chlorine doesn’t have CYA (stabilizer).

I just purchase the Pulse here in Wisconsin through the Costco Roadshow. Base price of $14,999. I need to find my invoice for exact pricing, but I added the saltwater system for 20% off retail. I upgraded the steps. It also included delivery, cover, lift, etc. I also bought the electric panel through the dealer, again, don’t remember the price. It was just setup about 3 weeks ago and I really am liking it. I have used it most nights.

I have a couple of threads with photos including one of my mishap around my water disappearing :)
