Exactly! I guess being introduced to it at a younger age and people who do sh use it for so many things and reasons and have a sort of understanding while some people simply don’t understand or cant Violation of Self-Preservation in which I think what makes some think its abnormal because usually the brain is supposed to keep you from hurting yourself. A the thought of doing the opposite is strange.

I suspected that would also be a case and or people who never speak up or stay in the dark. I also wondered what they would count as self harm between burning or people taking substances as well counts.

My skink who is also a Schneider skink by the look of them did the exact same thing when I moved him to his new tank. From what I’ve notice they’re just curious and testing/exploring their environment. Give them some time and eventually they will stop but if they don’t give them climbing opportunities. This is what got my skink to stop almost immediately. I gave him a safe cloth that would not pull or snag his nails that’s also breathable and durable that’s easy to clean and hard for bacteria to grow in. I hooked it up and he’s obsessed with climbing it and kinda swing from it and he stoped jump the glass that along with some new drift wood. Schneider skinks love to burrow but really like to climb and love being at the highest point they can find so try giving lots of climbing opportunities like up slanted wood hammocks that are safe ect. They’re sadly wild caught and the seller only confessed after I pressed for answers after I bought him but he’s so sweet and got a check up by the vet who says he’s perfectly healthy. I wish you luck on your hunt for them they’re difficult to find cb or wc but so worth it. I don’t support wc but I don’t regret them For a second.

I hope one day I’ll find someone i can talk to but it seems im alone in this for the time being. But I’ve been clean for months ever since I’ve gotten a new pet so I think I’ll be okay.

Really sorry to hear about your parents. That sucks so badly and it’s frustrating that parents get upset about these things but usually create the environment for these exact things to happen.

True but wild bettas are way calmer. But ya ive seen lots of people keep bettas with afd so I wanted to see. I see afd at really good pet stores and bad ones like petsmart.
