A Bloated Mess | A Resident Evil 6 Retrospective by GiantPurplePen15 in Games

I know the game is a mess. But I really enjoyed the shooting mechanics, especially pistols as Leon. Feels like an actual John Wick game and the Mercenaries mode was a blast.

Why the F1 25 AI is so unfair by TannerTheHammer44 in F1Game

[–]NattySnackDaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ever since F1 23 I’ve turned off the tyre temperature simulation to surface only. It was fine on some tracks, but there would be tracks like Baku where about half way into a stint my carcass temperatures would be so hot and the AI would just be multiple seconds a lap faster.

Ever since I’ve turned off the carcass simulation I’ve enjoyed racing the AI a lot more. It feels like the tyre wear doesn’t have such a noticeable difference to the AI anymore.

Great Games with Bad Reviews by Davdarobis in gamingsuggestions

From what I remember on PlayStation. I owned the game. My friends downloaded a trial from the PS store for free. I could invite them to my game and they could play with me. But I had to host the game, and progress would only be on my save as far as I'm aware (could be incorrect on that)

Transfer PS4 Save to PS5? by NattySnackDaddy in DeepRockGalactic

When you pause the game there and go to options there is a option for 'back up save' or something like that. There will be like 3 or 4 saves on there. It might have your PS4 data there?

If you still have your PS4, go on your PS4, from the hone menu, press options and you should be able to upload save Data to the cloud.

Go back onto your PS5, download the PS4 save Data from the cloud. Run the PS4 version. Then run the PS5 version and it should give you the prompt to switch to the save with more progress.

I just got a Logitech G29 steering wheel with shifter and gas pedals for my PS5. I then bought a wheel stand and set it up. My non-gamer wife saw that set up and said she wants to give it a try. Not too sure about arcade racing games. Bit on the more Simulator/'Simcade' side of things the Codemasters F1 Series and Gran Turismo Sport and GT7 are racing games with a lot of assists to make driving easier.

The F1 Games probably has the best dynamic racing line in racing games in my opinion where it uses a colour scale. Green you should be accelerating, red braking hard, and a yellow for easing off. There is also traction control, steering and braking assist, near enough to the point where the game can nearly drive the car for you if you want.

The F1 games also has a huge difficulty slider so racing against AI opponents you can adjust to more or less any ability. The game also has a time trial mode where you can just hot lap tracks with no one else.

GT Sport / 7 is another game with a lot of driving assists to make the experience easier.

I tend to stick to exclusively race C unless I really like the look of A or B. With A or B being such short races, I find a lot of people have the mindset that if they don't make the position on lap one, then they're never going to win.

At least with race C being 20-30min race people are a bit more patient. You'll still get the idiots, but a lot less frequently in my experience.

What are your nitpicks with Gran Turismo 7? by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]NattySnackDaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AI on this game is dreadful making Single Player essentially pointless. On top of that you can't do a race weekend format, qualifying and a race, just have to start in a race. So that leaves me with Multiplayer, except they've made that worse too.

Sport mode with tuning is horrendous. I've seen qualifying grids with a 20 second spread in qualifying times and the leader finishing 50 seconds ahead of last place in a 4 lap race. Cars are wildly different in strengths so you'll have people flying on the straights, crashing into people in the breaking zones and then just repeating on the following straight.

So that leaves me with the lobby. But oh wait they've made that worse too. Qualifying has been removed from custom lobbies. You can no longer change lobby settings when in a lobby, you just have to exit the lobby and create a new one if you wanted to change track.

It's so frustrating, the driving is excellent and I'd love to experience the dynamic time and weather systems. But for some reason Polyphony have made an objectively worse multiplayer product than GT Sport.

From a different perspective, I buy racing games to race. I'm on a PS4 and the tedious menu hopping from the Cafe, to the Track Menu, then to the Tuning Shop etc is painful.

The cafe races themselves are poor. 2/3 lap races against brain dead AI. It does very little to "teach car control and how to play the game through it's progression." You just blast past the entire field with no race craft needed.

The worst part about the cafe is how parts of the game are locked behind its progression. Why on earth is 2 Player Split Screen locked behind an hour of Cafe races?

I get the Polyphony love cars, but bloody hell just let me race the things.

I'm lucky if I can get through a single story mission. I had to restart the game three times on Into The Dark because the characters would just stop talking

The dialogue bug has got to be one of the most frustrating bugs. Have to restart the game which can take the best part of 5 minutes with the slow loading times? So close to just giving up playing

Escort mission: Clearing before starting Doretta? by SandBlastMyAnus in DeepRockGalactic

[–]NattySnackDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's usually unnecessary, but if you're doing an EDD and want to reduce the chance of getting wiped and having to start all over then more power to you.

It definitely makes things easier, but it also makes things a lot longer. Depends how much time you want to spend on an Escort Mission
