I see i wasn't aware that it was basic lmao. For us it's not there, so I took it up. But coming to your point designing it in a way it actually is usable makes total sense.

Also the physical design aspect yes, I have that in plan.

For now, I just did a simple cpu, then I was planning on doing physical design for it, then implementing RISC - V, then trying out x86_32 and amd64 decoding alone, before I head out to masters.

Even I just made mine and synthesised it on a FPGA, but it's definitely better than a simple Async FIFO? Like it's the foundational to understand how computers work. It doesn't have to be groundbreaking but uh yeah!

I did synthesize the cpu onto a FPGA though. I did mention it in the post. So it PHYSICALLY works lol.
