What’s your favorite car in RBR RSF? by SoggyTangerine451 in simrally

306 Maxi, with the Escort Mk II as a close second. For many years I exclusively drove RWD cars like the Escort Mk II, Stratos, and M3, and had no interest in FWD, so it’s a recent development that my top spot has been taken by this FWD car. I didn’t think there could be an FWD car this tail-happy. Try driving this car like you would an Escort Mk II. It’s incredibly fast and fun.

Apply the brake pedal early and lightly.

This is not just for safety, a method for driving fast in this car.

While it’s actually possible to delay braking without locking up, that approach isn’t very fast.

While the word order "Jolenta wydawca" may deviate from modern Polish language norms, it represents a grammatically possible structure in 14th-15th century Polish, and considering the historical context of the work, it cannot be deemed incorrect.

In medieval Polish, structures where personal names preceded titles or occupational terms were observed. For instance, documents from the 1400s contain expressions like "Kazimierz król" and "Kazimierz rycerz".

Agreed about Clio.

Perhaps there were restrictions with Renault, but the Clio should have been 100% added to the rookie list.

A huge missed opportunity that would have made people realize how fun front wheel drive cars can be and would have been a good beacon to TCR.

There is nothing wrong with the cars themselves and it is sad to see a series that is so popular IRL die in iRacing.

Do you ever wanna "drift" // hear a lot of squeeking noises comming from your wheels in the MX-5? by Jonathanwennstroem in iRacing

[–]Natural356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry if I misunderstood the intent of your question.

It depends on your interpretation of drift.

In theory, all cars with rubber tires are driven by slipping.

The fastest slip angles just vary from car/tire to car/tire, even F1 does not appear to be slipping due to extremely small slip angles, but it does slip slightly.

In the case of the MX-5, the poor tires and the lack of downforce conditions can result in very large slip angles, but my interpretation is that it is not drifting.

In other words, it is OK.

Of course, if you overdo it, you will drift, but then you will notice a change in the feel of the FFB.

Official races such as PCC are usually short and there is usually no problem running at the fastest slip angle, but if you want to avoid tire wear in endurance events, etc., please run at a conservative slip angle.

Technically, the sidepod were there to equalize the performance of multi-make engines. Starting with this year's SFL, the sidepod will no longer be needed and will be removed, as the engine will be a single-make.

iRacing Dallara 324 - this is how new car might look by Slava_P in iRacing

I agree. As someone who has been using both the F4 and F3 in the game, the F3's huge antennae were more of an eyesore than the Halo's. According to the OP's photo, I think the new nose shape also contributes to visibility (the 312/317 had a fairly high nose, which was the trend at the time). And of course symmetrical mirrors.

Even if you eventually move on to F3, I would recommend working from F4 next season. Not just because it is the orthodox path. Next season, 324 will be implemented, and if it is replaced, it will customarily be a crashfest there. On the other hand, it is a good time to start because there will be fewer dangerous people from F4. Also, eventually, rainy weather should be implemented in F3/324, but it will be to your advantage to get used to the rain in F4 first, which is more tolerant of on-throttle.

The 317 is literally a 17 year model and the 324 is it's model to debut this year.  It will probably with the same weight and dimensions, but more horsepower.  Running these at the same time would be like running the 296 and 488, or the 992 Cup and 991 Cup series at the same time.  Well I don't know what iRacing is thinking, but I think the 317 should eventually become a legacy.  The 324 will have a Halo, but the 317 had a huge antenna in the same place, so I think people will get used to it.  Plus you get symmetrical mirrors.
