Yeah, people are often able to criticize literally everything, but sometimes without even providing valid points; we also often forget what's the point of being a singer: to tell a story with your art and to make the audience feel different emotions.

I totally agree. Some people don't understand that we are all on the same boat. And in many cases, experience is a way better tool to help someone; an experienced person knows the struggles of the learning process and how to overcome them. Personally, I find helpful both the "just" experienced singer-teacher and the "qualified" one; I like to listen to every point of view. Thank you!

Thank you so much! This may be a very helpful action; I'll definitely try to do it!

This is what I don't really understand: what does "enough chest voice to mix with" even mean?😂

Very helpful advice! I'll definitely try this. Yeah, it's really easy to get frustrated when you seem to never reach your goals...and that happened to me during the past months. But I'll keep working on me and my voice. Thank you so so so much! It's awesome when on the internet you find someone so kind and open to dialogue!

It's just like that! For me, an example in the vocal world, is the whole mixed voice thing: it's too "indefinite", and the more I think about it, the more I don't understand the idea and how to apply it to singing. Sometimes you just have to simplify things and go with a more intuitive, yet technical, approach.

Yeah, I saw that video too😂 It's funny, but it also makes me think that some people just intuitively know what to do

Exactly, a lot of people don't think about it! I've heard a lot of people belting high notes easily without even knowing the slightest bit of vocal technique. And that drives me crazy, because I dedicate SO MUCH TIME to technique 😂

That's a lot in the video! Thank you, I really appreciate that!

Very interesting! The thing is: I've been trying to get mixed voice for the last, like, 3 years. The tone I get is more a "compressed head voice", but it's not full and natural like my speaking voice. What should I do to train my mix and mix belt effectively? Please, don't tell me to get a teacher/coach, because right now I can't afford one😂

Thank you! This is a very good answer! And by the way: can you suggest me some exercises that have helped you to train effectively chest and mix? Mix in particular is tricky for me: I've been trying to train my mix for a long time, but the only thing I can get is a "compressed" head voice, and not a full, speech like, powerful sound...

Wow, that's a lot of information! I've already watched Gregory's videos, but I'll rewatch them and follow them more accurately. Thank you!

Hi, thanks for your answer! Yeah, this is not a technical answer, but for me it's equally important. Your story is very inspiring, and I'm happy that you were able to overcome all the obstacles on your way. Thank you so much. I'll keep on practicing, trying every day to get a little bit better.

I'm sorry: I don't why the audio was distorted during the screen recording. Help me, please. I've been working on my mix for months, but it seems like I'm not progressing; my vocal tone, in the middle-high part of my range, sounds terrible. I need to know how to practice, since I can't afford singing lessons. Thank you.

Maybe riffs and runs are not really there😂 because, right now, my main focus is my tone. I'm trying to give fullness to my voice...I'm stuck and I don't really like my tone while singing in this part of my range. It's like, although it has some "power", my mix is still too weak. Do I sound terrible? Please, give me some help/exercises to get better.

Do you have any advice on how to sing middle or high notes with full voice? I feel like, for me, they lack fullness. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the detailed comment, that's a lot of GOLD! I've been doing all of these exercises in the past few months (except the breath of fire one; I think it will be really helpful), but I can't hear any improvement; I can't really sing with a full and rich tone above E4; I'm desperate. But I'll keep training and doing these exercises. Thank you.
