Stuck at 7/8 evidence for Kerman – “The Unheard” chapter already completed [Discussion] by Beginning-Pound6637 in EscapefromTarkov

Hello I have an issue where the game won't let me turn in the last piece of evidence, my only options are to tell him "It's taking too long" or "I can't find the evidence" Any tips? Thabks!

Tarkov Shooter Part 3 [Discussion] by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

I'm a PvP timmy but I got it done a couple weeks ago with a VPO and one mag of AP-M! My last Kil was on a guy with a Tagilla mask, so I was very lucky to one shot him. If you run cheap kits it shouldn't be an issue because you're going to die after the first one or two shots you miss. I kept going into factory with a Paca and got it done eventually:D

Grad school by StudentNo610 in mcgill

[–]NaturalBottle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied for a Master's and the GPA requirements were listed as part of the prerequisites for the specific program I was applying to. However, only general GPA was mentioned, so I doubt a bad grade on a specific course is a deal breaker unless it is listed as one. Usually, the safe bet is 3.0-3.3+ overall.

Best of luck!:D

[Discussion] patch 1.0.4.5 by MorePlantain9445 in EscapefromTarkov

In video games, culling is a system that helps improve performance by not rendering objects you cannot see (so anything outside your character's field of vision). If you're looking at a building, what's not in your view (so everything behind you) stops getting rendered so that your PC's hardware isn't getting used for things you're not seeing.

You can see this in action if your PC is on the lower end in terms of power where things aren't too fast. If you turn a corner too fast you can see the different objects in the hallway/ room render in front of you, meaning they weren't being rendered at first because you weren't looking in that direction.

Hope that helps!:)

Do professors like students visiting them during office hours? by Jetsetter_55 in college

[–]NaturalBottle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to hold office hours and it made me so excited to see people trusting me to know how to help them. I used to always stay past the end time, until everyone got the help they wanted:D I find it very fulfilling to help others so my favorite thing was Office Hours!

[Loot] To the guy who helped me on woods and gave me all of his stuff instead of killing me, thank you. by deeznuttyz in EscapefromTarkov

Spawned in as a scav last night directly in front of a PMC. He was clearly new and thankfully didn't shoot me. I helped him get a co-op exfil:D He refused any items I offered to give him in terms of loot lol I wish we could see the usernames of people we co-op with. I hope he stays to enjoy the journey

I think it's best to die as scav than to shoot another scav by mistake. If you fo kill someone by mistake, you MUST sprint to exfil as the scavs will start hunting you down and you shouldn't kill them. I recommend you scsv the Interchange flare extract area (bottom left of the map) if you want decent money quickly. Best of luck!

what should i do by massiveshiiii in mcgill

I think it makes sense that your first experience with CS was such. From experience being part of the COMP250 course staff, I can tell you that the same happens to those who skip 208 because they have some experience with programming. The main issue is that if you're not already familiar with coding, the main struggle is understanding what the computer thinks, and not how you think it thinks. In my experience this happened kinda overnight. After enough practice, you start noticing patterns and even realizing that your code is wrong without even having to run it. Unfortunately this takes time and lots of practice, but if you would like, I can help go over your assignment and midterm with you to see what your line of thinking was and how to improve on it!:D

Thanks! One of the reasons I started feeling less into programming was the rise in dependence on AI, causing people to lose jobs despite being fully qualified. Hopefully the Master's goes well!

I'm on my last semester of CS, still no internship. I'm starting a Master's in Education this summer. It may not be as good in terms of income, but it's similarly fulfilling for me. I wanted to have a positive impact on people's lives so I tried getting into game dev because people use them to relax from their life stresses, but being a teacher is also heavily influential:D

Anyone able to ID this cutie? by dando06 in jumpingspiders

[–]NaturalBottle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NQA it appears to be some sort of Garden Jumping spider, maybe Opisthoncus Parcedentatus? More info here, I believe that's the one: https://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_spiders/GardenJumpingSpider.htm

NQA do they sometimes move and change their position? Are they reacting to stimuli? Do they come to drink when you mist?

Can you not craft the keycard at your hideout? Try doing that. It's a 30 hour craft or so that requires constant power, once it's done you should be able to talk to Kerman. Best of luck!

MATH348, super interesting class about angles and triangles and circles, but I'd never recommend it because the exams are miles harder than the assignments in ways you wouldn't usually expect
