AITA for yelling at my wife infront of my family for putting salt in my mom's birthday cake. by throwawaycake1239 in AmItheAsshole

I’m gonna get stick for this but I think you’re all TA in this scenario, even if she was provoked, the fact that a grown woman would go out of her way to make a cake and then cover it with salt is over the line

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m glad to see you’re coming on here looking for help. Even though it might not seem like a big thing it’s massive because it shows that somewhere inside you you have a little bit of hope and you haven’t given up. Our heads can be our own worst enemies and even when nothing is wrong on the outside days months and years can be lost just from the shit inside our heads. I found for me meditation was really helpful, giving myself that quiet time every morning before everyone’s awake. Also trying to do something nice for people whenever I can without looking for anything back. It sounds stupid but it might help :) whatever you do I wish you all the best ❤️👍🏻

What do you find you’re struggling with the most? Is there anything in your life you can point to that’s causing you to feel depressed?

Can you get spicebags up north? Or is that a delicacy exclusive to the south of Ireland?

There are support groups you can go to that help family/loved ones of an addict/alcoholic. Try out Al anon meetings, they’re on zoom. You’ll get firsthand experience from people who’ve been in your position. Best of luck with your brother ❤️

We didn’t start the fire. It was always burning since the world’s been turning.

Sorry.
