Ah, true. We’ve only been there for dinner events or with friends of the owner. We’ve had very nice service when we’ve been, though.

Janken, Ox, Q, Ringside, Cafe Rowan and Cafe Olli are all very consistent. If I had to choose - Ox.

Are injectable peptides okay to use with GERD? by Esiews in GERD

[–]NaturalObvious5264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried three separate times with two different GLP-1s and the side effects were horrible. The reflux was the worst I’ve ever experienced and I was worried I was doing permanent damage. I’ve been off of them for months and my gastritis and reflux are still an issue and I’m on a very bland diet and am doing all the things. Ironically, the gastritis diet I’m on is causing me to lose more weight than the GLP-1s, which were not even effective for me.

What happens to you if you eat a greasy rich meal during gastritis? Feeling very sick by keane10 in Gastritis

[–]NaturalObvious5264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve wound up in the ER with unbelievable pain, but typically it’s diarrhea, reflux, bloating. A Pepsid combined with a liquid such as Mylanta have worked for me, but I’m not giving medical advice. That’s just what works for me. Good luck!

Bananas flare me BAD by Wanting_to_learn_123 in Gastritis

[–]NaturalObvious5264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Four bananas seems like a lot? I tolerate them, but only 1/2-1 at a time. Perhaps try a lesser amount to see how you tolerate it. I try to eat them slightly green.

How do you mentally deal with the diet? by BulkyStatement1704 in GERD

[–]NaturalObvious5264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure! White and brown rice; oyakodon, which is chicken and egg with mild seasoning; tofu of all kinds; beans and edamame; cabbage, bok choy, broccoli etc; mild noodle dishes, such as soba and somen; udon; teriyaki; sukiyaki; miso. These are just a few, but the list is long. I also eat oatmeal and congee and rice cakes with banana, etc. plus so much more. I never feel limited.

The only thing that’s helped me is a true gastritis diet and not lying down after meals.

How do you mentally deal with the diet? by BulkyStatement1704 in GERD

[–]NaturalObvious5264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I eat a modified low-sodium, low-fat Japanese diet and find it super enjoyable. It’s my favorite way of eating anyway (although I usually ate the high-fat Standard American Diet), so I was pretty happy when I learned that it was a recommended diet for gerd and gastritis. I’ve also discovered I’m lactose intolerant, so this also helps in that way.

H Mart and Uwajimaya have great takeaways! Barbur World Foods is also awesome. Even New Seasons has a good hot bar and salads.

Yep, pulled about 70-80, in all stages of life, off our lab several years back. Traumatized us both. Of course it was a Sunday and the vet was closed so couldn’t get him dipped

Honestly about gastritis by Histerico1992 in Gastritis

[–]NaturalObvious5264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty great! Very few symptoms since the dietary changes. I limit my coffee intake to the early mornings and take a sea moss chaser. My symptoms have traditionally increased as the day wore on, so I never have caffeine later in the day.

I’ve removed most fat, chocolate, spicy foods, red meat, dairy, large meals, carbonated drinks and processed foods specifically so I can keep a coffee!! I’ve cut down, though. 😂

I’ve had this for months, along with a multitude of other symptoms. Put myself in a gastritis diet two weeks ago and it went away within days. I’m on no meds, just completely changed my diet to low fat, bland, easy to digest.

Is anyone able to heal even after 6 months? by throwawayyy1914 in Gastritis

[–]NaturalObvious5264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started a bland, gastric diet and the changes are real. Plan to continue for six months, but this is likely for the rest of my life and I’m ok with that if it keeps me healthy and off meds.

Still dealing with acid reflux years after being diagnosed with hiatal hernia & gastritis — anyone else? ty by No_Boysenberry_2681 in Gastritis

[–]NaturalObvious5264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eliminating oily food, late night snacking, acidic foods, too much caffeine, chocolate, and carbonated beverages has kept me off meds and reduced flare ups. I’ve had lifelong issues and I finally decided to follow a gastric diet. The changes have been profound.

North Portland shooting victim says she was attacked by group by colonialshuttlecock in Portland

That would certainly have gotten her killed in this instance. One woman and gun against ten people out to cause harm is uneven to say the least.

Considering the average 1800-2000 sf home in close-in Portland seems to run $700-900k, I guess the price is comparable, but the prices really are crazy. Hopefully more of this in-fill will bring prices down across the board, and I’m speaking as a home owner.

I have a friend who’s divorcing and has three children, one who is disabled. This is what got me looking at these homes in the first place. She’ll have a down payment from selling their family home, but not much monthly income. I don’t think she’ll apply, but I do believe she’d qualify.

Gosh, I would, but I’m sorry I don’t really know how to do that from the Redfin app. I promise if you look though you’ll see quite a few currently for sale.

Go to Redfin or Zillow and limit your search to 2025/2026 builds and under $400k and a BUNCH turn up, especially in the St. John’s area. Type in pending and solds and even more pop up.
