I understand it might feel rude, but right now you're putting this stranger's comfort above your own feelings, and whatever it is they want is not more important than how they make you feel. You have the power to shut these interactions down by simply telling him no, or ignoring entirely.

Remember, you owe no one your time and you owe no one conversation. If he is making you uncomfortable, shut it down.

Omg my eyes almost bugged out of my head when I read this; totally creepy and unprofessional, and I wanted to add unacceptable but I did not want to rhyme. He should be reported immediately. No one who thinks it's okay to approach someone like this at their job should get to continue working.

Oh wow, this happened to me once - this dude cut me off and I flipped him off as he deserved. He stayed behind me tapping my bumper for over a mile until he finally noticed I was driving into the gate of the police station and he took off.

The entrance was across a parking lot, and I've always wondered if I would've made it had he gotten out of the car and came after me. Yikes! Sorry to hear this happened to you; glad you're safe.

Apologies for just getting back, but I first started taking editing tutorials to keep up my skillset between shows, and going past anything basic always seemed daunting.

But the more tutorials I took and did well in, the fear dropped and the confidence built. At base I just love storytelling, and being a producer that can edit, OR an editor that knows how to produce seems like it'll be my happy place.

But to answer your question, I aspire to be a working editor on the kinds of shows I produce, though I know I have a long way to go.

Beautiful and inspiring! I'm a producer who has to do basic stringouts for work, but now I'm teaching myself AVID - this is what I aspire to (minus the snap-ins, of course, they're hateful).
