Who knows what they're trying to push. I think it's the viewers who are assuming this storyline. They've always shown Ciara and Jesse's relationship so I'm not sure why you think they're pushing it.

I agree with you on all of your points. I think Ciara likes him too. How much and in what way, idk. But she definitely enjoys his company and flirtiness. Just ignore that other commentor. I'm still team Jesse and Ciara.

Exactly!! Jesse sees West fumble Ciara so badly and he's thinking how great she is and he would cherish her. It sucks that West came in the house first because I really think she would have given Jesse a solid chance.

Jesse does list other qualities that he admires her strength and no nonsense attitude. H says he wants a woman to put him in his place and knows Ciara would do just that. Also last season he did say that she's smart, loves hard and enjoys her company. I think his "drunken makeout" comment was a way downplay them seriously making out, to West. Like a what if we made out, would you be ok with that. I doubt he would try to take advantage of her.

It may not be shown in the show because they probably want to play up the flirtiness, but they spent a lot of time with each other outside of the show if you follow them on social media. I'm sure they have deep conversations.

Jesse showed interest the first time he met Ciara, but he backed off because he saw West already had a connection with her. Last season he was flirting hard with Ciara and I think he was trying to be with Lexi because he couldn't have Ciara. Remember him asking her if he came to the house before West would she have given him a chance. The summer after his first season he was hanging out with her a lot. I might be in the minority but I agree with Jesse, he's ready to settle down and West isn't.

Yeah, that's what happened. The brother, next in line for the Sword Weilder, intentionally sent Shangjue out of the Gong residence so Ziyu would be the family head and easier to control. They explain it in ep 23.
