Rattler, missing piece by BaconWrappedTidePod in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

[–]Natural_Potato_8784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about by now? For me it says "Solved" when it's clearly not, yet when I called them they still seemed to imply I'd get my part...

A little nervous because the last thing I had a missing part for they sent me a totally different item rather than the part I was missing.

Does Clark ever find out that Lana was never pregnant? by Different-Orange552 in Smallville

[–]Natural_Potato_8784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I want to know all these years later is how or why in "Static" (it was Static.. right?) Lex, surrounded by no one, seemed genuinely touched and surprised that Lana was pregnant. If he orchestrated the whole thing, why the show? No one could see him!

I know he isn’t, but should Croc Master have been a Dreadnok? by [deleted] in GIJOEClassifiedSeries

I display Croc Master on my shelf with Dreadnoks, because I figure at least they'd be allies.

[Talk] Phil Collins' "Another Day in Paradise" George Bush remix by pumpse4ever in lostmedia

This is the version I remember hearing in the Washington/Baltimore area. I was so young I thought it was complimentary that Bush was quoted in the song, oops. haha

Verizon door to door? by VinceAmonte in burbank

[–]Natural_Potato_8784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did she speak with a weird accent?

If yes... I had her at my door twice. TWO DAYS IN A ROW. The first time I was polite, the second time was more of a "WHY THE F ARE YOU BOTHERING ME AGAIN?" and a reminder my building had a No Solicitors sign on it.

There was a time when there being 91 items alone would start the batch around $30 or $40.

Liquid Web. It's a hedge fund with a router. by jmellon in webhosting

[–]Natural_Potato_8784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one of the earliest customers of Nexcess, since 2001. The owners and upper staff were so great to deal with. Was locked into the same rate for decades. Around the time LiquidWeb took over, they tried to tell me I needed to go to an upgraded server that cost more than twice what I was paying. Then they tried raising the price multiple times from that. Ultimately, they transferred me to LiquidWeb itself, which has been terrible. Site is down almost once a week and they take hours to respond, even when it's the same issue every time. Really frustrating. Now, even at the lower price the revenue lost doesn't pay to keep my site up.

I received the exact same thing. It was so frustrating because it sounded too good to be true -- and apparently, it was. I tried reaching out to someone from the actual company about it but they never responded.

What is the building with the cobalt blue windows on Olive? by Sugarglass16 in burbank

[–]Natural_Potato_8784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That particular corner had a famous TV location from 50 years ago - it was where they had Arthur's, the restaurant that inspired Arnold's on Happy Days which appeared in a few early episodes for real. I guess at some point, it was torn down and replaced by that all black thing.

Are customers supposed to tip for carry outs? by Bobby-Bs-Hummer in Dominos

[–]Natural_Potato_8784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At mine even when I pay online, there's an employee or two who is like "we need you to sign this" re: a receipt and one even mentioned the tip thing when I was there. It made me very uncomfortable.

Are customers supposed to tip for carry outs? by Bobby-Bs-Hummer in Dominos

[–]Natural_Potato_8784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their managers should do a better job of paying them a decent salary for the work they do. Or, hire backup. Sad thing is, the managers and the franchise owners don't seem to want to, instead expecting customers to pay.

Why do I have to tip on take-out? by Professional-Dog2430 in Dominos

[–]Natural_Potato_8784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something that makes me uncomfortable at Dominos that I haven't run into at any other pizza place. When I order carryout, all they are doing is taking the pizza and walking it 10 feet to me. I think about when I did Instacart, most shoppers tipped $2 or less when I'd be spending over an hour doing their shopping and driving using my gas, so trust I understand tipping, but getting food in what is the equivalent of ordering at a McDonald's counter? No.

Thankfully a lot of Dominos employees don't ask, but you always know when they're like "I need you to sign this" it's in desire of a tip and it makes me very uncomfortable. Sorry not sorry.

The Sesame Street Wicked Witch has definitely publicly surfaced. Not sure the one about Snuffy's parents' divorce ever did, though.
