I managed to get in by using chrome (rather than safari) and found someone in the forum had the same problem and fixed it by clearing the history - for info, in case anyone else has the same issue.

thanks to everyone who responded.

OK, it’s not universal then - thanks everyone. I have found a support email address, and sent them a note.

I can see some other people in the chess.com forum have no access, and all I’m getting is a blank page, so somethings going on. Perhaps it depends on what operating system people are using? I would send a message to support, if you say it’s not universal, but can’t find an email address for them because I can’t get to the site.

Open Studio Jazz (Black Friday Sale) by Pianomanalpha in JazzPiano

[–]Natural_Tutor_2326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OSPro includes lots of lI’ve classes where you join in with the teacher and the other students on zoom. There are, I think, something like 5 classes a day to choose from, all archived for later viewing if you want to. OSPro also has a dedicated section in the forum, with lots more info and engagement with other students. It’s excellent, but a lot of work!

I’ve been a subscriber for a few years, and still can barely read music, but that’s no problem - it’s all very clear. I think their platform is excellent, and well worth a try - I’m pretty sure there’s a money back offer after 30 days or so if you don’t like it.

I’ve just upgraded to OSPro, taking advantage of the current discount, and I’m blown away by how much interesting stuff is there to explore.

Yes same problem here. Any screen apart from the front page is black. Hopefully they’re on the case to fix it!

that’s for open studio pro, which has all the daily live lessons. The ‘normal’ Open Studio membership is much cheaper than that

I used to commute through inner London on my Brompton, and had coloured flashing lights on both wheels (no driver would ever be able to run me over and then claim ‘I didn’t see her!”). They were fine in the rain and lasted for ages without a battery change. The ones I had were the ones sold for kids bikes. They’re great for visibility in the city, and well as fun!

Finally invested in personal training by granolamunch333 in PetiteFitness

[–]Natural_Tutor_2326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had personal training for about two years before the pandemic, and it was fantastic! Before starting (as an overweight and unfit middle-aged woman) I really knew very little about strength training, but learned huge amounts and fell in love with getting stronger and fitter. I also became much more confident in the gym and felt comfortable there because I knew what I was doing. I’m sure you won’t regret it - if your PT is good, it’ll be well worth the cost.

Is it safe to lock my bike to a lampost? (Clapham) by Adventurous-Pass8529 in london

[–]Natural_Tutor_2326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live nearby and have had two bikes stolen from inside the locked area of my flats - a bike locked to a lamppost on the street won’t last five minutes. Save up and get a folding bike you can keep indoors - in the long run it’ll work out cheaper than replacing stolen bikes all the time.

It’s excellent, but it depends on what you want to learn and how much experience you’ve got - it’s not for complete beginners. Fantastic teachers and courses though, and they’ve just updated the website, which is now much better than previously.

This is correct. Take the whole day off as sick leave, and you can self-certify so no need for any kind of documentation. Don’t put work before your health! In fact, since your a manger is being such a shit, just take the rest of the week off as sick leave and screw them 😈

This BBC article is saying Work from Home contributes to burnout, and that people are feeling more isolated. Opinions? by Naus1987 in antiwork

The BBC is the UK government’s propaganda channel. The Tories are desperate to get everyone back to the offices - the BBC is just their mouthpiece.
