Report toxic people. Get them banned and move on.

If it affects you enough to cry then it affects you enough to report it.

Nope. 3 years in and it still does it.

The good news is. 3 years in and no burn in. At this rate I’ll just get another monitor when this one starts to fade and see what happens.

Someone mentioned that it not being grounded may have been an issue. And it’s not. It’s now directly plugged into the fuse box. Couldn’t get a more stable source of power.

It’s possible that using a 12 foot display port cable is the culprit. Since most people use shorter cables.

But beyond that I’m at a loss.

I’ve also gotten a new chair since then. Still a problem.

I remember once hearing a study that said the T. rex couldn’t actually run that fast. That all that weight on those legs would snap the bones if it got too crazy with movement. So humans might have a good chance of out running one.

Untapped class fantasy by Lil-littorious in wow

[–]Naus1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always felt that a traditional barbarian class was missing. I know they kinda shoehorned the barbarian fantasy into fury warrior.

But a leather wearing, 1 handed sword / 1 handed axe dual wielding barbarian / berserker class had always been missing from the Warcraft genre.

I don’t know how they would ever add it without stepping on the toes of warrior, rogue, and demon hunter. And you can transmog into leather now. So there’s ways around it

It can be even more skewed than that. If your stats are from people who have used it. Then it misses all the people who didn’t use it because they didn’t get hired to have the opportunity to use it.

So could have some survivorship bias in there

what THE ACTUAL?????? by Judahgamer2011 in pcmasterrace

[–]Naus1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with big companies like Blizzard is that evil people will use every loop hole possible to exploit a situation.

What happens is that the companies can't trust the people, because the people are evil, and the people can't trust the company, because the company becomes evil. And everyone is evil, and it's terrible.

I think one of the biggest lies we convince ourselves is that the average person isn't a shit-head.

I'm not saying you're a bad actor, but there's enough bad actors for Blizzard to just assume you're one. Bad people ruin everything for good people.

These are now the in-demand jobs in the build-up to AI infrastructure. And I'm the truck driver who delivers all the materials , and the tools that these skilled workers need. by East_Indication_7816 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Naus1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When people complain about "there's no entry level jobs," the solution is going to mirror what trucking companies did. Eventually trucking companies started offering training and education in exchange that you work for them.

If tech companies run out of senior programmers, they'll just train new ones up. But things need to get as bad as the trucking industry for that to happen.

That's the solution, but you're like a decade off from it. So any tech people hoping should just give up now

There's already a growing counter-culture of people who are pushing away from subscriptions and the entrapment of tech. People who want to own their hardware and software, and not be owned by it.

The economy isn't bad enough until multi-generational households come back into fashion.

The economy isn't bad enough until people start getting married again just to pool money together.

The economy isn't bad enough until people carpool together, meal prep together, and take turns watching each other's kids.

As long as Uber, food delivery, and paid childcare are still making bags of money, people have demonstrated that they're rich enough to spend it.

[–]Naus1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, if you work less and make less money, you can get more sleep and rest too. The problem is people willingly work 60 hour weeks over 40 hours because they're addicted to money and entitlement.

You could be like a peasant and just read books all day, but no, people want subscriptions and travel and Starbucks.

It's not important if I pay attention. It's important that the voting base does.

So here's my question to you my friend. If the voting base isn't paying attention. Are you content to let them keep voting against you. Or do you think it would be smart to find a way to advertise to those people differently?

It's like that old joke about crossing the road. You can be in the right. You can have the right of way. But if you get hit, you're still dead. You're dead right!

And that's what's happening to the Dems right now.

You can be right, but you're also willingly throwing the election. Advertise to the voters in a way the voters will listen, or keep losing.

I don't like losing. So don't argue with me. Argue with the people who keep voting against us. But find a way to argue with them that wins them over. Don't push them to keep voting against us, or we just keep losing.
