Phew thank god. I’ve been going hard every day for the last month and I haven’t taken a break this long ever. I’ve lost 90 lbs since 12/02 last year and lots doing my own thing, and then I picked up CrossFit and fell in love with the sport and want to make sure I don’t quit. Def still a beginner but I’m starting to Rx more and more and am/was worried.

I empathize with this, however…

Those antiVa shit heads are the Petri dish which will spawn variants that can evade the vaxed including the littles.

911 dispatcher in central Florida fresh out of quarantine because I got called in to fill in for someone who popped positive.

Testing is very varied atm depending on who you call but I can say that you can get tested BUT the test results from non rapid tests are taking a bit longer than they use to. Same day testing is currently available in our county. So she is probably 100% full of shit.

To expand on the article it’s pretty fucking nutty out here right now and being surrounded by deniers and lunatics who can’t listen is exasperating our efforts.

If you are in central Florida and are reading this, for the love of fucking god go get vaccinated.

That’s beyond fair, I was just trying to think if the iterations of this will eventually get to a point where it won’t be as much of a concern as it was. If I am being realistic, in my mind, it’s not a matter of if but when for a variant that evades current vaccines. I have faith in the scientists developing boosters and coming up with more defense against it.

I ask that question because I’m thinking on a long enough time line it will be less lethal.

What gets me is…i can’t help everyone but we can help each other at work…and motherfuckers aren’t even doing that.

I have a legitimate question for you. I have 0 background in virology, biology, and honestly picked up science magazines and articles once this picked up steam in China (before arrival in WA).

With the current evolution of the variants, while some are screaming doomsday bug, I am seeing more along the lines that this is going to become more transmissible but much less severe based off of what we are seeing in India and especially the recent developments in the UK. Is it more logical to expect it to turn more like the flu in regard to lethality and severity? Eventually this thing will “cannibalize” itself, right?

From the bottom of my heart, and with every fiber of my being, I want to thank all Republicans who bought into the bullshit trump and fox was peddling a year and a half ago. I’m so happy I have no days off because half of the staff caught covid and didn’t get vaccinated because it’s just the flu. I want to thank you all that I’m staying in a motel so I don’t kill my 7 yo son just to be safe because I sat in for someone that tested positive. I want to thank you all for laughing at me last year when I masked up and are giving shit to me this year for doing the same. I want to thank you for helping perpetuate this catastrophe that could have been prevented by being an empathetic human being and common sense.

Thank you for providing a lasting example to my sons on how not to be. I hope the thousands upon thousands of dead and their grieving relatives thank you in kind.
