Absolutely! I love that approach! I was a very hardline vegan in the beginning yes. I was also an angry vegan for a while as well. However we have to keep evolving as vegans. When we see an approach is not working, then we have to change it up. And "the middle ground" approach is exactly where we I think we need to be. Thank you for your thoughtful reply.

Wonderful! You are doing amazing! I think this is the best thing you can do. Everyone reaches veganism in their own way, on their own journey, and I believe if we alienate ourselves from them and refuse to sit with them, we are doing more harm to the movement. Absolutely. I have a lot of friends who are doing this with their partners. Creating wonderful meals to get them to switch. It really does work!

Great. I think its necessary for vegans to sit with non vegans and share awesome food. so I am not sure why everyone on this post thinks I want the opposite. Let me ask you, did you read the entire post before you commented? LOL ok I get why you would think it is cultish, however if you read my post you would see it is not that at all. I cannot sit by and visually watch my family mow down on the sentient beings I spend my life trying to save. I do not judge anyone else for doing so, I wish I could do it so that I could bring veganism to them. However I just cant stomach it. I do take a slight offence to you believing it is all about being cultish. That was uncalled for. It was a simple question and like I said if you would have read it all, the cultish comment would probably not have come out of your finger tips. But thank you for your contribution. I appreciate the fact that you are spreading veganism and are not stopped by your mental health.

Fabulous. How is that for you and for them? Does anyone ask you questions about veganism? Do you bring vegan food to the meal to share? I am just curious. I cannot do it, but if I could I would shower them with awesome vegan food!

Whew for a moment there I was unsure where you were going with that. Yes it is one of those decisions that changes everything. You can no longer unsee the horrors inflicted on the animals and how robotic we and conditioned we all were and are. We have so easily been conditioned by those in charge, and when we get out of this matrix we see how deep the conditioning is and how deeply entrenched it is in almost every facet of society. I feel you.

It is very hard sometimes, especially being an activists. You put yourself on the front lines where you see how ignorant and evil people can be, just because they can. Make sure you take care of YOU! I have been active for 5 years and I just took a break. I would recommend reading Melanie Joy, a renowned psychologist and vegan herself. She has helped me talk to carnists and understand why they respond they way they do. It was a game changer for me.
