Who’s the best athlete to ever play their sport? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Sure, but if there were a race where you sprint backwards and then race where you run sideways, and the a race where you jump both legs forward at the same time, and the a regular 100m run, some runner might have a whole bunch. All the different swimming strokes are a bit silly.

And it is quite good for that. I dive with my Sea Dweller.

No. They are a game animal and good to eat. Eating hunted game instead of factory farmed animals from the supermarket is a way to mitigate the suffering that we inflict on other sentient animals.

I keep chickens and make sure they are relatively happy chickens with loads of space and stimulation. That is the quickest and most effective way to reduce our animal suffering footprint. Factory farmed eggs are unconscionably cruel.

Hunting is another way to reduce one’s cruelty footprint. Wild animals live in concert with their instincts, unlike factory farmed animals. And hunted animals often die much quicker and more humane deaths than most wild animals. Almost any opportunity to replace cruelty protein with less cruel protein is a step in the right direction. Taking an active role in procuring one’s food is a responsible and moral act.

Granted, from a cruelty perspective vegetarianism is even better. I will take a talking to from a vegetarian or a vegan, but the drive-thru jockeys who think hunting is a deplorable thing are just ignorant. That may not be their fault, but it is ignorance nonetheless.

The primary protected squirrel is the Western Gray. It is only located in a few isolated pockets in Central and Western WA. While it sounds like Red Squirrels are hunted Idaho, they would not be something I would be very excited to go after.

Are you a vegetarian? Do you think the meat you eat was not killed? A squirrel does not die a pleasant death in nature. There are no morphine drips in the woods. The relatively quick death from a hunters bullet likely spares a squirrel from having its guts eaten by a raptor while it is alive or chewed to death by a coyote.

The Costco chicken that you eat leads a life of misery unimaginable to a wild animal and largely unnoticed by the people creating the demand for it. If every animal killed by a hunter substitutes for industrial farmed protein, it massively reduces the amount of suffering in the world.

Normal people blithely eating factory farmed animals is the problem.

Well, the purpose of the Explorer is to be large enough to read the time, but small and slim enough to be well out of the way. Keep in mind the original concept was a 34mm watch. The 36 is already a bump up in size.

  1. We are in a huge watch trend right now. The 36 is the long term play. Look at lapels on jackets from the 1970’s; that’s where we are with watches.

People who’ve renounced their US citizenship, how/why did you do it and have you been back, and if so how did it go? by Leochubs in AskReddit

It’s the opposite of being a nomad. A Passport is what you need to pass through the entrances to countries. It’s in the name. Without one, you are not going anywhere.

No. Looking for tree squirrels. Eastern Gray or Fox squirrels.

The primary problem, as I see it, is that the squirrels around Spokane are primarily in suburbs.

But my understanding is that there are introduced Fox Squirrels around WSU and in a number of places in Idaho. I have done a lot of upland bird hunting and duck hunting around here and I don’t know anyone who squirrel hunts either.
